Been a month....
Well, hit 75NIN about 2weeks ago now - and I've jumped right in on some tanking duties. First NM i tanked? Zip. 2nd - Fafnir. This picture is actually my 2nd faf fight on NIN- and I was 1 of 2 tanks. I thought I was going to go the entire fight without dying (big improvement after getting dropped by a 1500+ DMG breath on the first tanking fight)... but at 6% or so, I went down. Great job as a whole though, as it was only our 4th faf fight & we were nervous with 2 tanks. We had some good luck on claims the last couple weeks... a couple first instance pops helped that cause as I think 2 claims we were the only ones with enough peeps to do so. Still no luck on Nid though. We also killed a couple Adamans, and I still have yet to fight Aspi (haven't been on when we did win claim).
Killed Kreutzet on the way to aspi one day... dagger dropped.. I lotted 938, heckel dropped a 998 or something ridiculous like that.
Xolotl's been a stingy MoFo... 5 kills the last week or so, 3 hats, and then a '1 dark crystal' and a '3 dark crystal' loot pool.... the last with TH3 (guess why we got the extra crystals ;p). Killed him with 5 one day.
Did some ENMs with some old LS mates- loot drops were junk (psilos mantle was the best we saw ; ;), but I got about 8k xp from the day & did some ENMs I hadn't tried before, so it was cool.
Solo'd DS as nin/whm... so I could get my long overdue NIN tekko- which will be +1 this Saturday (I think that's when they'll be ready). Part of me wants to sell my H.Kote once that's done & use dusk for tp & tekko for WS- maybe use the gil to buy more coins... AF upgrade was only 15... but still want Brutal (obviously) then maybe RNG hands, NIN body, and feet.
Got around to learning Blade: Ku & have been spamming it- it does look pretty cool.
A long time ago... I had got dry head via autolot... I tucked it into storage & forgot about it... I noticed divine logs (& a lot of other highly inflated goods) had gone down substantially- so I found a Kabuto for about 5.5M a little over a week ago. Steep, for sure, but I really like it in my WS set.
Once the ground HNM came back into OUR window, we put sky farming on hold- last couple of Kirin's I actually ended up going as /nin as I was the only rng at one (to start), so I wanted to make sure I was alive to help keep the renkeis constant. The HF+1 was brought out as well for a change of pace & I really liked it. Sure, the delay ment I lost a shot or two more than I would've if i was using my Ebow, but I had a much more racc focused setup, so I missed very little. Hopefully he'll be loose with the drops once we get back at him in full force. Hopefully Byakko will put out too :D
Did a couple Gration runs for peeps who needed Tatami's- they were a little hairy as we didn't have the mage power to make it a comfy fight.
With the extra free time i've had, I got aroudn to finishing up some long overdue things. Sandy finally extracted some revenge & took over Sarut... only outpost I need is Gustab... but that's not very pressing.
Got 2 more LS members yinyang robes- I got the kill shot on both & got the drop on both. That puts me at 3/3 with kill shots- 1 as RNG, 2 as THF.
Months after their release... I finally got my NPC. Dinged 31 this morning on it. She's a hume F, but not the model or haircolor I wanted, but didn't really know what I was doing.
Ding! BST will be getting more loving now that NIN is done (cept merits).
Finally turned this in, as prep for the big 5-0.
Got one of those new chips- too bad you can't turn it in for 75 coins :P Haven't read anything on the new areas, as we still need to do proto- omega & ultima, if anyone knows what's up with them, let me know.
I did have to make a big adjustment to how I play though- after xping NIN like a fool, I started getting some mild carpel-tunnel (sp?) in my left forearm... So, I had to virtually stop playing for a couple days & went out & got a PC contoller. I didn't do anything but craft for a day or two, just trying to get used to the controls. I'm fairly comfortable now, but I'm definitely much faster mashing my macro's on my keyboard. Rearranging my macros to be more controller friendly, in terms of sequence, has helped.
Sorry for the lack of updates until now, but I used to update while at work... I now find updating, forums, and even general email to be a little annoying at home, while they were a godsend while at work. Ill try to get back to updating more regularly again.
