Rodents of Yosemite #1 : Yellow-Bellied Marmot

Jul 05, 2014 11:34

Somebody once told me that Olmsted Point is the place to go to look for Yosemite's marmots, so every time since that I've been to Yosemite, I've visited Olmsted Point and looked for marmots. I found plenty of marmots in other places, but never any at Olmsted Point.
This year, finally, I was able to meet one of the famous marmots of "Marmot Point".

A marmot appears
Internet Fact: marmots have crazy-sharp teeth and can dig their tunnels through solid rock!
