Some questions.
I was just thinking about fandom recently (not necessarily the HP fandom.) But I was wondering what made people ship the way they do, and why are some fans so opposed to one pairing and not another. I was thinking about the pairings I enjoy reading and I still couldn't pin point the reasoning behind it. Most of what I enjoy comes from the heart , I really couldn't make a essay's about the merits of a pairing that I have enjoyed, and well if you wanted me to quote anything good luck, I really have an absolute terrible ability to do so.
So question one I guess is do you ship from the the heart, or from what you can see in front of you? I guess you could say are you into fannon or cannon. But I think that over simplifies the question. Cause you might ship someone who is in cannon, but only got there from reading an amazing fanfiction about them. Or that you saw a moment within a book that might have made you wonder about that particular pairing.
Next question
What do you think makes people so opposed to certain pairings and why do they have get so irate about other people shipping preferences? Cause I really can't figure out why people get so agitated about what other people ship. I have seen some absolutley bizare behavior around lately and not only from the HP fandom. I really just don't get it. So perhaps someone out there has some insight into this .
Lastly but not least, how often do you change your tooth brush? Are you a individual who changes theirs every six weeks or are you one of these people who changes there tooth brush when its looking a tad shaggy? I am one of the shaggy offenders by the way! :D
Now off to figure out how to get all this caffeine out of my system, having ten cups of plunger coffee is not a good thing.
