(no subject)
Well, I know I haven't updated in forever, but that's ok. How many people actually read this thing anyways?? Today was CMU's first day of classes for the semester-oh joy. I have 8 a.m.'s all week, so that's definitely going to take some getting used to. I should have started waking up early last week just so my body could get used to it...but that's a lot easier said than done! Lol.
I got a job at Pixies. I had orientation a few days ago. I don't officially start training until Sunday though. I guess that's a good thing-it'll give me a few days to get adjusted to my classes and what not. I just hope I like the job, but at least it's money, right?
Cait, Meg, and Vitaly came up last week to visit and it was a lot of fun. Vitaly also came up Saturday night for Welcome Weekend. That was a blast too. We got to hang out with our neighbors for a while. They're cool guys. One of them isn't the brightest, but that's ok. He's good for a laugh.
My parents came up last week with Melissa and Dakota. They went camping about half an hour from here, so Laura, E2, Amanda and I drove out there one night to have dinner and roast some marshmallows. It was nice spending time with them. And, I got to see my puppy!! Amanda and my mom went to the Jessica Simpson concert. They had a good time at that. I chose not to go, lol. My aunt, uncle and grandpa came up Saturday, I think it was. It was fun to see them. My grandpa cracks me up. He's definitely a character. :)
I got my hair cut yesterday and for those of you who don't know, I HATE getting my hair cut. I hate trusting people who have scissors with my hair. It's not fun. But, yesterday I had the best lady cut my hair. I was SO excited that I forgot to get her name. So, I guess next time I go in there, I'm gonna have to describe her so she can do my hair again. I actually like my hair cut!!! Yay!
Right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to walk to my next class or drive. Driving would be so much easier, until I hit the parking lot, and then all hell breaks loose. It's crazy with everyone trying to park. It is a really nice day out today so maybe I'll just walk while the weather's still nice.
Tomorrow I'm actually somewhat looking forward to my classes. I have math in the morning with TONS of awesome people!I can't wait to see my Mathletes! hahahaha. It should be a really good time! Then I have class with Amanda, E2, Little Jeff, and Ben. Ryan was supposed to be in that class with us too, but he dropped it. Whatever! Lol, j/k. I'll forgive him this time. After that I have a child development class, which isn't too exciting, but that's ok-2 out of 3's not bad.
I'm really excited. Ryan said he'd take me, Amanda, and Little Jeff to a shooting place to teach us how to shoot a gun. That's gonna be kind of scary judging from the fact that I know absolutely nothing about shooting a gun, lol. It definitely should be interesting that's for sure. Ryan's giving us safetly lessons and letting us watch him a few times first, which is probably a smart idea on his part. I think he's gonna have his hands full, but it'll be an awesome time!
Laura, Amanda, and I are going to the park tonight after dinner to hang out for a little while. That'll be fun. The Erins are busy, so maybe they can come with us next time!
I know there's tons more I can write about, but I can't remember, lol. I'm sure I'll update soon when I have nothing better to do!
