The United States of Tara-Showtime-produced by Stephen Spielberg
A one-half hour series about a woman with multiple personalities. To put it lightly, I can identify with Tara. Oddly, my idiom is, E pluribus unum, Latin for "Out of Many, One," seen by one if close attention is paid to all the money forked over to live the American dream. I don't mean to make light of others trauma's, but "Tara", suffered a one time trauma. Pain is pain. Fear is fear. But give me a break, one trauma and a whole series! Shit, in that case, my life could be a series of series. Books full of short stories or one huge book with several editions. Take your pick. A rough estimate for me, 4000 separate incidences of abuse, trauma, rape, and torture. That is the physical abuse. How can psychological, emotional, spiritual and soul abuse be quantified. Stories within stories. People, people, people. Short stories about all the people that came into my life during these years. Strange, odd, peculiar, mean, menacing, evil, kind, hateful, loving, brutal. I have meet them all-each with their story. I could keep Stephen Spielberg busy for years. It would make good fiction, unfortunately it isn't fiction, It is fact. I lived a life that people actually enjoy watching in movies, on television, reading in books. I wonder what they find so enjoyable about it.
