Sometimes Sora doesn't understand Riku.
When they come out to the play island with Kairi, they always have fun. They play knights and princess, or king of the castle, or they just splash in the waves, together. Sure, the days don't change much; but Sora's happy with that.
Riku seems happy, too -- he's always laughing with them -- but sometimes Sora catches him looking out over the horizon.
Riku's always looking off into the distance somewhere.
One day, while Kairi is collecting seashells, he comes up to Sora and says, "Don't you ever want more than this?"
Sora doesn't really understand. "No," he tells him. "I like it here. Besides, there's still tons more to do." He's not sure if that was the right thing to say, so he grins and adds, "Sky's the limit, right?"
Riku looks up and scowls. "Yeah, but that's still not good enough. This sky always looks the same."
