It's going to take an awful lot to get me excited enough about XIV to invest much more time in it right now.
While the extra free month is nice, (and kept me from canceling my subscription as planned), the rate at which critical bugs are being fixed is pretty underwhelming. The planned fixes for November and December are a good start, but they should have been in for release, not two months from now. And the stated plans to only release major fixes every three months thereafter isn't enough to keep me playing until then.
I don't have the patience for this crap anymore.
I'm just not having fun. There's nothing to do. I'm not inspired by the world, the lore, the plot, the monsters, the classes, or the item selection. I've decided I hate guildleves. And my typical MMO play style of forgoing crafting to specialize exclusively on one class is actively discouraged if not outright suicidal.
My free time these days is too valuable to spend beating my head against this mess. I'll probably take another look a few months from now, but I'm mostly done for now.
