Isn't life funny? the ups and downs.. when you are down in a hole and it never seems like you will get out, then something completely unexpected this way comes, and changes everything. Maybe being in that metaphysical hole gives you some sort of perspective that you wouldn't have had before, and you see things the way they really are.
Life, it is said, is sweet. But how do you know sweet if you have never had bitter? You don't. People need the downs to really know how good the ups are.
