It's funny how gaining weight, even if it's a little bit makes you feel really ugly. That's me, miss "went up a dress size." You know what though? Even with a little bit extra cushion, I realized I am still attractive. I spent a good amount of the last couple days feeling insecure and guilty because of my extra baggage. Then, I realized that it doesn't matter. I'm still wanted, still loved, and still cute, even with a few pounds heavier. Besides, I don't have to keep it. I'm still young with an okay metabolism. I can work it off! My spirits are lifted now.
Anyway, so I've decided to get back to a regular work out. Partially because of my weight gain, but mostly because work outs make me feel confident and energized for the day. You guys should keep me on track =). I read in a magazine that giving yourself a "reward" for my workouts will motivate me more. So, I've come up with one that will work for at least the rest of the summer. It's something Damon introduced me to actually. Something fun to do after a work out. (I know what you guys are thinking... get your mind out of the gutter!) Damon has introduced me to RTS video games! They are wicked fun! He gave me a loan for "Battle for Middle Earth" based on the 3 LOTR movies. I LOVE IT! I love the movies, working on the books, and I'm diggin' the video game! So... my reward is being able to play the video game after and ONLY AFTER my work out. If I don't work out, I don't get to play my game. I mean, if I have time for a video game, I have time for a work out, right? So yeah, I tested it, and it worked today. I wanted to play my game as early as possible, so I got up and hit the gym so I could get home and play. So far, so good!
So yeah, all you people that are down on yourselves because of a bit of weight gain... don't worry! You're still sexy, still beautiful/handsome, I'm sure of it! Do what you need to do to gain confidence so that you see yourself the way the people you love see you. =)
Ps. I got a B in my English class too! Woo hoo, big confidence booster!!
