Hmm... 1 month 2 days until I begin Massage Therapy school. I'm stoked. :)
Ember's up to tons of fun lately. Ember is 100% toddler. She truly enjoys stomping her foot and whining if you don't give her what she wants as soon as she wants it. Of course we don't give in while she's throwing her little fit.
She's a walking pro now. She's got 10 teeth and another molar that's beginning to come through. That makes 4 front teeth on both top and bottom, one top molar and one bottom molar on her right, and a top molar on the left that's starting to come through. No canine's yet though. No idea how much she weighs but I'd be willing to bet it's between 25 and 28 pounds.
Recently, Ember has begun saying a couple of words. When someone comes downstairs she'll say "Hiiii!" in a sing-song voice. She will also stand at the window by the front door and wait for Brian to get home from school. She'll stand there and say "Daheee! Daheee!" over and over. That's toddler-talk for Daddy, of course. She only says "Mama" when she's upset at me... more often than not it's because I won't give her something that I've got that she shouldn't have. But that's ok!
She knows how to tell my parents dogs to be quiet. She points her finger, shakes her arm up and down and grunts.
Ember's uncle got Brian and I a little yellow lab puppy statue holding a "Welcome" sign in it's mouth. Ember will ignore this statue for days on end, then it will suddenly become the only thing she will play with. She'll pick it up and carry it around the house, sit down with it, pet it, kiss it. Then it goes back on the table to be forgotten until next time.
Anytime we ask her if she wants to go bye-bye, she runs over to the front door and starts blowing kisses. She's really good with giving people kisses as we're leaving.
It's amazing that she's going to be 16 months old in just a few days. Where has the time gone?! Before we know it, she'll be starting kindergarten!!
