Stonewall, not just gay history.
Nobody can get accurate information about anything in this city. It is becoming a frustrating m.o. of the mayor's office, to STONEWALL any investigations into their operations. Not just accusations of corruption by officials (see Sept. 24), but also crime statistics, accurate lists of people receiving contracts, and even if the city's crime cameras are operating. The damnable thing is that they've entered into contracts of about $3million to fix these cameras after Gustav, and how many million installing them and such in the first place.

Might not be so bad if we were using the cameras to catch and convict criminals.

How 'bout instead of spending money on cameras, criminal prosecution, and oversight of the governmental appropriations, we just divide up the estimated $5 million between the residents of the wards that are *being monitored?* to eliminate the poverty which causes the crime. I dunno. I'm about to get mad as hell, and not be able to take it anymore.
