Thoughts about appearances
I've been thinking -- do any good movie characters have an unnatural dye job, save for punks/goths? I was discussing this the other day with a couple of friends. I think it's one of those appearance things they use to designate bad guys, or at least it's always seemed that way to me.
I feel like Ozymandias was left open for interpretation in the book and demonized in the movie, and I think part of that is that in the movie, he had blond hair and dark chin stubble. It's like a visual lie rather than a verbal one, like how Draco and Lucius Malfoy have blond hair and brown eyebrows in the HP movies. It's like the handlebar mustache of the new millennium.
Is this just something I'm reading too much into? What do you think?
