This morning I went to the grocery store. I walked. I nearly always walk, only this morning it had rained and then froze a little. Since it was nearly 11:30 the sun had warmed and thawed the ice. I managed to find one patch that was still there and still slippery. My left foot shot out ahead of me, right foot kind of to the side and I went down hard, flat on my back. Must have mildly sprained my right ankle because it's a little sore now. Right knee must have slammed down and inward. It hurts a wee bit. Not bad. Right thumb is very sore near the wrist. Great. That's how I ended up with arthritis in the left one when I slipped on black ice nearly 8 years ago.
When I landed I felt something go crunch! in my ribs on the left side. It's a wee bit tender but I can take deep breaths and bend to the side and everything.
I'm going to be sore tomorrow and, of course, I have to work. We'll see if I can even move by then.
I dislike winter intensely!!!
