I was really happy Roger won as it was so long ago that he had last won a slam, but I couldn't help feeling bad for Andy, seeing him cry as the pressure he was under was enormous with all the media hype and all the politicians/royalty in the audiance,Although I don't like Andy I wouldn't have liked all that pressure on my shoulders.Anyway I am just really happy for Roger.
Same here. I was convinced for the whole tournament that Roger would win, and then on the morning (my time) of the final I started to doubt, esp. since I couldn't watch it until it was over.
I cried for everyone -- Roger, his twins and family, Andy and Judy Murray. I hate to admit that I'm starting to soften a tiny bit towards Andy, mostly because he was under enormous pressure and held up quite well, and showed he is human during his speech. If he had cracked under that sort of scrutiny from the media, it wouldn't have been surprising but he would have been torn apart by everyone. He did just fine. It looked like Roger started to tear up during Andy's speech too, but there can be only one winner and Roger won. :D
Hope that shuts up his doubters. They've been awfully quiet on some of the forums. Except for a couple of ignorant articles on BleacherReport (one anti-Roger, one anti-Andy)there's been nothing but love for Roger.
