Title: and the rest is.
Rating: G
Word Count: 758
Summary: Yunho just wants shrimp chips and Jaejoong just wants to give them to him.
Warnings: Ridiculousness.

There are two suspects at the scene of the crime.

The first, Kim Jaejoong, balanced precariously on a ladder with a bold red apron that lets no one doubt he is the big, bad boss of The Jaeneral Store (the result of a drunken promise with his childhood friend turned soccer prodigy, Jaejoong's never done eight straight shots of anything since then), is reaching for a box of shrimp chips on top of the shelves so he can restock.

The second, Jung Yunho, with every hair on his head held perfectly in place with an entire week's worth of mousse, is frowning at the hole next to the squid strips, where his favorite shrimp chips usually reside. An employee walks by and he inquires about the whereabouts of his snack food of choice since the third grade.

He never receives an answer because there is a shout and the sound of metal shaking and the next thing he knows, there's a mountain of shrimp chips covering his body along with… a person?

If Yunho had any air in his lungs, he'd protest and order the man to get off. If he could feel any one of his limbs, he'd skip the formalities and shove him off instead. Since he is incapable of either, he is forced to lay and wait for the other to take his sweet time.

After what seems like eons, there is a groan above him and the man shifts, and a head of the blackest hair Yunho's ever seen is revealed to him.

"Sorry for falling on you again, Mun - oh. You're not Munhee."

Yunho is ready with a smart retort on the tip of his tongue, but he nearly swallows it instead. The guy is ridiculously pretty. "You do this a lot?" he asks instead and he can't stop staring. Did that sound like a come on? That kind of sounded like a come on.

"Um. Yeah?"

The accompanying look is so sheepish that Yunho can't accept the answer as anything but the truth. "I just wanted some shrimp chips," he blurts out. "You're out of them."

"Oh." Looking off to the side, the man gathers up five bags with one arm and shows them to Yunho. "Did you just want one?"

There's a hiss that sounds like "Psst! Mr. Kim!" from above their heads and they both look up. It's the girl Yunho had been talking to before he was attacked. "Customers are looking," she says in an exaggerated whisper, eyes darting back and forth before landing on them again. "You can flirt while standing too, can't you?"

Yunho does a brief sweep with his peripheral vision because holy crap, it's hard to look away from this guy and finds that yes. Yes, people are looking and wow, he feels really embarrassed.

As if burned, both of them scramble to stand and as Yunho brushes off his butt, he catches sight of the nametag on the other man's shirt that reads Mgr. Kim Jaejoong.

"Yes?"

Yunho blinks. Oh. Did he say that out loud? Smooth. Pointing at the bags still in Jaejoong's arms, he stammers, "The um. Those."

"Hm? Oh. Oh!" Jaejoong holds them all out to him. "You can have them for free. For letting me, you know, fall on you."

"No, no, that's okay!" Yunho holds his hands up politely. "I only came in for one."

"Take them all," Jaejoong insists, already walking towards the check-out. "I mean, they don't expire for another-" He twists his arm awkwardly to find a date. "-ten months!"

Yunho follows right behind him. "It's really not necessary. I'm not even hurt."

But Jaejoong is already stuffing the shrimp chips into two paper bags and shoving both against Yunho's chest. "Happy shrimp chip eating!"

Since he has no choice, Yunho forces a nervous smile and says thank you. "Oh. Uh." He maneuvers both bags into one arm before reaching into his breast pocket to take out his card. "In case you ever, I mean, if someone falls on you," he babbles lamely. "Or something."

Jaejoong reads the card and then looks up, smiling like someone remembered his birthday. "Thanks, Jung-sshi."

They say their goodbyes and Yunho manages to make it past the automatic doors without tripping over anything.

But halfway to his car, he hears Jaejoong shout after him, "So I really like shrimp chips too!"

Spinning around, Yunho's response is embarrassingly immediate, rushed out with a hint of relief. "Do you want to eat them together sometime?"

Jaejoong grins. "I'll call you!"
