Summary: When two enemies by nature get together by fate.
A/N: This is somehow a hybrid between Twilight and The Vampire Diaries. There are some similarities but this one-shot doesn’t follow either of the two plots ^_^
Screams of agony were heard in the middle of the woods from the city. Screams that were mute to human ears. Screams that were full of pain. Screams that were ignored by the others of his kind. They were screams of that transformation. Nobody wanted to have to deal with a newborn. They were messy, indiscreet, and really hard to control. They were a burden and nobody wanted them.
In the middle of the forest, a young man was lying helpless. His body was twitching slowly, making the transformation obvious. His screams were painful, tears were stained down his cheeks, lips bitten because of the pain, and from the left part of his neck, blood was dripping slowly.
His body was naked, exposed to the harsh wind and the coldness of the winter, but none of this made him feel anything. The pain from the inside, that burning sensation that was eating him alive, was the one that made him curse the day he was born. He hated everything in that moment; his family, friends, people, the beast that transformed him, God, everything. Did God even exist? Making him suffer like that, like one of the lowest creatures in the world. It was like a curse.
It had been hours, maybe even a day, since that damned thing had bitten him in order to transform him, and the pain wouldn’t stop. It would increase even more, if it was possible.
His body was changing slowly, but surely. His white skin was changing into different shades: purple, blue, deep red, black, and all of the spectrum colors. It was the sign that his transformation was coming to an end, but of course, he didn’t know that. The pain was still there, maybe not that powerful, but still powerful enough to make him cry in agony. To make his pain heard by the others of his kind. To make them remember how they once were too.
Suddenly, all of those symptoms stopped. The pain was gone. His skin was white. He was numb. Everything was getting somehow back to normal.
Apart from him being a bloodsucker with red eyes.
*
Jaejoong was the only son in his family. Being the only boy, they pampered and loved him a lot. He had a perfect life. His family was a rich one, but even though their love for him was big, when he transformed, suddenly, he wasn’t their son anymore.
After the transformation that made him a monster, he went back home. Wrong move. When his father saw the change in his son, he called the hunters to go after him. The only one who still had some love for him was the youngest of his sisters, who helped him run and even demanded a maid to go with him, so he could feed from the woman. She helped him, but that didn’t mean that she tried to go against her father and his “Council.” She wouldn’t stand a chance.
So he ran away, with the maid helping him. She was the only companion that he had. Until the hunger of a newborn had hit him. He fed from her, draining all of her blood, enjoying every single bit of it, only to feel miserable after that. Only then did he realize what he had become. A monster.
Kim Jaejoong, the human with a perfect life, was now, Kim Jaejoong, the damned, with a miserable life, for eternity.
*
When the rays of sun touched his skin for the first time, the next day after the transformation, hell broke again. A pain similar to the one that had passed the last night, but different somehow. He felt his skin melting and the meat on his bones being fried. He was the same as those pigs that his family fried to eat on Christmas. Poor animals.
Jaejoong didn’t know what to do to stop the damn pain, until someone or something-he didn’t even know-dragged him in a place full of darkness, where the sun wouldn’t hurt him. His skin was all red with holes in it. For the first time, he thought he was ugly. After that, he took a deep breath, closing his eyes and opening them again, only to see that his skin was back to normal. Instead of red and black holes, everything was now milky.
“Welcome to the world, newborn!” a voice in the shadows said, and Jaejoong was frightened. The voice had a wicked tone, and he didn’t like it one bit. “Don’t be afraid, I’ll help you. I know how hard it is to be alone. I’m sorry I didn’t come earlier to help you with your transformation pain,” the voice said again, and Jaejoong still didn’t feel any better.
“What are we?” the young ex-human asked quietly, licking his lips, because, damn, he was hungry.
“The Moon’s children. Vampires,” the voice said again, and Jaejoong lost his consciousness.
**
Ninety-two years had passed since that fateful day. Since everything had changed. Since Jaejoong was no longer a human, but a damned vampire. He hated his existence. He only wanted to die, but every way that he tried to die, Changmin would guess and ruin his plans.
He and Changmin became friends after Changmin’s father, an Original, helped him ninety-two years ago. He was a vampire too, but not an Original. His blood was diluted with his mother’s, a human. Changmin was a hundred years old in vampire age, but in his human age, he was eighteen, while Jaejoong was twenty. It was funny how the younger one was older by vampire years.
2012 and Jaejoong was still here. It sucked. The world had changed so much and now they had to feed with blood bags because of a stupid agreement that Changmin’s father had made with the World Wide Council. It wasn’t like Jaejoong would really feed much, just enough to keep him alive for Changmin’s sake. He didn’t want to live that way, drinking other people’s blood. It was gross. But neither did he want to kill bunnies for it, so he had to suck it up and take the damn bag every time Changmin handed it to him and drink from it.
This year, Changmin’s father had a great idea, in his opinion, of course. Jaejoong thought it was stupid, and Changmin was pretending to be excited for his father. They were going to go to a damn high school, to be normal and to “study.” It was stupid, from Jaejoong’s point of view. He wasn’t a human, so he didn’t have to go to a school with stupid kids who only knew how to get wasted, have sex, and be irresponsible.
He didn’t know if he could last without ripping someone’s head off. Ninety years and he still didn’t have self-control at all.
*
Junki’s decision stood strong. At the very beginning of the year, the two boys made their appearance at school. Changmin was a freshman, while Jaejoong was in senior year. For the two men, it was something like torture to stay in a class for a whole hour to listen to things that they already knew and even more.
The first three weeks at school were pretty boring. Jaejoong was bored out of his mind, and he was being named the “Slutty Blondie” only because he had dyed his hair and wore latex clothes. Changmin was integrating much better, being part of the basketball school team and letting his genius amaze everyone. He was pretty much a jock.
Changmin was on the popular side, while Jaejoong had his own side, the slutty loner blondie. He didn’t even know from where the bloody name started. He was a ninety-two-year-old virgin! How could he be slutty? He loved leather, what was their problem?
Changmin even made a friend: Yunho, Jung Yunho, the mayor’s son. The school’s sweetheart and a good basketball player. He was the perfect boyfriend material for horny teenage girls. Jaejoong never liked him enough to greet him. Even though Yunho did greet him daily, Jaejoong would just growl at him.
Jaejoong didn’t like humans, but there was something about Yunho that made him hate him enough to not even address him.
*
“I heard that there are werewolves in this town,” Junki said when they had dinner, human dinner.
“Werewolves?” asked Changmin, intrigued. It was something that had always fascinated him. Other creatures that were magical too, just like them. Or other monsters, as Jaejoong named them.
“Oh, bite me!” growled Jaejoong. “Now we have to start the hunting?” he said, dropping the fork on the plate. He pouted.
“No, we’re not that primitive. We need to find who the werewolves are and try to make an agreement with them,” Junki commented as he ate his dinner slowly: chicken meat and vegetables. It never was his favorite.
“Agreement? Werewolves want to have our heads ripped off, Junki. They won’t agree with anything that we would propose to them,” said Jaejoong, getting up from his chair. “I’m done eating. My mood was spoiled the moment you opened your mouth about werewolves.”
“You’re too reckless, Jaejoong, and that will cost you your head someday,” Junki said calmly, and Jaejoong turned to look at him, gaze full of hatred.
“It’s not like I wish to live.” With that, he headed to his room, where his piano was. He needed some peace, and music would give it to him.
**
When Yunho saw his uncle Jihoo coming back to town, he knew that something was fishy. But he didn’t ask. Not that he didn’t want to, but he wouldn’t get a clear answer anyway. It was boring and fake to stay with his mother and uncle at the dinner table and pretend that this was a perfect lovely night as a family.
“Why are you here, uncle?” he asked, not caring that he wouldn’t get a clear answer; he was bored to death.
“To spend time with my lovely family, of course,” Jihoo said, smiling charmingly, but Yunho didn’t buy it.
“That’s lovely, Jihoo. I can’t thank you enough for not disappearing from our lives after your brother’s death,” Minjun commented as she sipped from her wine, frowning a little while Yunho rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, thank you for coming to us after three years,” said the younger male, smirking, while throwing his napkin onto the table and getting up from his chair.
“Where do you think you’re going, Yunho?” asked his mother.
“Out to have some drinks with my friends. At least they didn’t abandon me like someone did here,” he said, smiling sadly.
*
Yunho was glad that his friends decided to invite him to have some drinks tonight. He wasn’t sure if he could keep his calm next to his mother and uncle. He didn’t like his uncle one bit. Jihoo evaporated after his father’s death, and he came back now, thinking that he had any right. Oh boy, he has the guts.
Because of the anger that he felt caused by his uncle, he kept drinking. For some time, he had been feeling really angry about everything. His nerves would go to their extent, and he didn’t know how to control that. When someone would piss him off, he would get all hot and bothered, ready to rip someone’s head off. The only one who didn’t cause him any type of feeling was one of the kids from his school, Changmin’s brother, or the “Slutty Blondie,” as everyone called him.
Yunho was neutral when it came to him. Even though the boy looked like he wanted to rip his head off every time he saw him, he couldn’t bring himself to feel something bad about him. Changmin told him that Jaejoong was a little bit difficult to handle, but when you got to know him better, he was a cupcake. He was a bit skeptical. Cupcake? For real? He couldn’t believe it.
Yunho shook his head. Why the hell was he thinking about that boy when he was accompanied by pretty girls? He smiled when Seulgi, one of the cheerleaders from the school squad, approached him and invited him to go for a ride to her home. He gladly accepted. He liked her enough to talk to her, and the alcohol made her good to fuck.
Taking his car, he stepped on the acceleration. Maybe the night wouldn’t be so bad after all.
**
Jaejoong was pretty pissed off. Music didn’t help him calm down. He didn’t even know why he got so bothered by the whole werewolves thing in the first place. It was not the first time that his path had crossed with one. A long time ago, he met one and killed him like it was the simplest thing to do, without regrets.
He decided to take a walk on the road. It was pretty late, so no human would cross his sight.
**
Being in the car with Seulgi was pretty good. She kept caressing his thighs, going even higher from time to time, but then withdrawing her hand. It got Yunho pretty hot, and he couldn’t wait for release.
One of the lessons that Yunho didn’t really learn in his life was never expect something to happen with a burning desire, because something will always get in the way.
And the “something” this time was a person who crossed the road, forcing him to get out of it, straight into a tree. The last thing that he heard was Seulgi screaming in pain, before the darkness took him away.
**
Jaejoong didn’t know what came over him, but after he felt the smell of a werewolf, he ran. It was in his instinct to kill his enemies, and the smell was too strong, meaning that the wolf was nearby.
He ran and ran, not minding his surroundings. Not minding the fact that he crossed the road straight through the middle. Only when he saw a light from his left, he stopped. Wrong move. The car’s driver forced the automobile out of the road, hitting one of the trees. The owner was driving with high speed, so the sudden hit was a fatal one.
Jaejoong walked slowly towards the car, already smelling the blood of the person, but it was weird. He felt a heartbeat, but he was sure that the accident was fatal. No survivors.
He reached the car and kneeled down to see inside because the car was upside down. The first thing that he saw was the body of a girl, but the heartbeat wasn’t from her. He looked past the girl, only to see a hand with a familiar ring. He widened his eyes and got up to go to the other side, but something powerful pinned him to a tree.
He could smell what that “something” was.
A werewolf.
“One wrong move and I’ll rip your heart from your body, bloodsucker!” the werewolf said. He was in his human form, but he was strong; not stronger than Jaejoong, though. However, he wasn’t going to start a fight now. He wanted to see if the one in the car was really who he thought it was.
“Hands off, puppy!” said Jaejoong, pinching the person’s cheek.
“What the hell are you doing?” the werewolf asked, looking at Jaejoong like he was on crack.
“As much as I want us to fight, I do not wish to do that now. One of the humans in the car is still alive and I’m going to save him, because I do not want him to die either because of an ironic accident that is mostly your fault too,” said the blond haired man, grabbing the hand that was strangling his neck.
“My fault? You were the one who followed me!” the werewolf growled, applying more pressure on the vampire’s neck.
“Fuck, you idiot, let me go or I’ll rip your head off from your damned body!” threatened Jaejoong, but the werewolf didn’t move.
Jaejoong was ready to sink his hand into the werewolf’s chest, but suddenly a sound from the car came.
“Help!” a voice that was well known by the two of them whispered hopelessly.
Ah! The luck that they were both supernatural things, because it would have been left unheard by human ears.
The werewolf let go of the vampire and went straight to the car to help that person. Jaejoong followed him and was surprised to see that it was indeed Yunho who was in the car.
“What have you done?!” yelled the werewolf at Jaejoong, ready to attack him again.
“Nothing. Let me go and take the boy, and you can go back to your caves, wolf!” said the blonde, trying to get closer to Yunho’s body, but got stopped by the werewolf’s hand.
“Don’t get closer to my nephew or I’ll rip your head off, bloody demon!” said the werewolf with a dark voice, and Jaejoong actually laughed.
“'Bloody demon,' are you describing yourself?” he asked, amused. “Get your little nephew and help him. In fact, I don’t even care about him, I just wanted to do something useful, but on second thought, I won’t do it anymore. See you again, wolf.” Jaejoong turned his back and ran fast towards his house.
He still couldn’t believe that Yunho almost died.
**
Changmin was studying when Jaejoong appeared from nowhere and pinned him against the book shelf.
“Did you know that Yunho had a werewolf uncle? Did you fucking know that he has that in his blood?!” asked Jaejoong, showing his fangs, a sign that he was damn pissed.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Changmin asked, pushing Jaejoong away from him, into a wall.
“Your bestie almost died because the fucker drives drunk at high speeds and I crossed the road. He hit a tree and almost died. If it weren't for the fact that werewolf genes were in his body, he would be dead. His uncle is here, and that stupid shit threatened to kill me,” Jaejoong said while he served himself some scotch.
“Yunho is a werewolf?” Changmin asked, widening his eyes while looking at his best friend and companion.
“If he hasn't known until now, he will find out about it tomorrow,” Jaejoong said, drinking the scotch in one shot.
**
Yunho couldn’t believe what was happening to him. Nor what his uncle was blabbering about werewolves, vampires, witches, and every supernatural thing that his uncle was saying. How the fuck did that affect him? Apart from making him paranoid of everyone in this damned town.
“And how is your little tale related to me?” asked Yunho, trying to adjust his position in his bed because his bones were broken, and everything hurt.
“You’re the next descendant to the next werewolves’ line from our family, Yunho. That’s why I came back; to help you go through everything. I didn’t think that the vampires had come to this town,” explained Jihoo while he was pacing around the room. It wasn’t a good thing that the vampires were in town. It made everything harder.
“I can’t be a werewolf!” yelled Yunho. “I do not wish to be one! I don’t want to be a freak! What if someone finds out? They’ll hunt me down and get me killed!” He was totally freaking out. It wasn’t the life that he wanted to have.
“It isn’t by choice, Yunho, you have to deal with it and make sure that our bloodline will continue. That means you have to marry a woman and make her bare a child,” he demanded, looking at his nephew.
“Fuck you! You don’t have a say in what I should do with my life. I’ll marry whomever I want; you’re not my father. You’re just my uncle, and that doesn’t give you any right to dictate my life,” Yunho said bitterly and turned his head to the opposite side of where his uncle was standing.
Jihoo watched his nephew with hard eyes. The kid would listen to him no matter what it took.
**
“Jaejoong, did you meet a werewolf last night?” asked Junki, entering Jaejoong’s room without knocking at the door.
“Yes,” he said, looking at his “father,” as the man wished to be called, but he didn’t want to. He only had one, and he was dead. No matter how grateful he was towards Junki, he couldn’t bring himself to call him father.
“Did you get bitten or something?” asked the man, looking at him with concerned eyes, and Jaejoong shook his head.
“He wasn’t in his werewolf shape; he was in the human one. I know who he is, though. Or, I know who he is related to,” he said quietly, remembering Yunho’s face from last night. From some reason, it kept bothering him.
“To whom is he related, Jaejoong?!” asked Junki curiously. He didn’t really know who the family of werewolves that dominated these lands was.
“Changmin’s friend. Yunho,” the blondie said, looking out the window, his mind full of Yunho displayed in front of him in the accident, and the fact that he was with a girl in the car made his heart feel funny.
**
Junki was never a fan of possible enemies that could hurt his two sons. Even though Jaejoong wasn’t his biological son, he cared for the boy deeply. The fact that he went through the transformation alone made him feel guilty even now. If only he could have reached him earlier to make him feel better.
So when it came to eliminate someone who threatened his family, he would act quickly and quietly. When Jaejoong gave him the name Yunho, he almost choked on his saliva. He couldn’t believe that the young, charming man was related to werewolves, but then again, his tanned skin and tall and muscular figure could not have fooled him. It was the perfect structure for a werewolf descendant.
So that was why Junki was in front of the Jung household. He was going to eliminate the enemies.
He rang the bell and waited for someone to come open the door. Soft footsteps were heard and he smiled charmingly, waiting for the door to be opened. The new mayor of the town greeted him, smiling widely.
“Mr. Shim! Come on in!” the female said, voice full of affection.
“Madame Jung, thank you for your invitation. I’ve heard about your son’s accident, and I came to see how he is doing. Changmin was a little too busy to come, so I offered. Yunho’s like a son to me; he’s really a good person,” said Junki while they were making their way into the salon where guests were usually received.
“Oh, he is doing better! His uncle is spending a lot of time with him,” Mrs. Jung said as he served the vampire a cup of tea.
“Uncle?” asked Junki, faking surprise.
“Ah, yes, my brother-in-law came to visit us. They are having some bonding time,” the woman said, taking a place on the sofa.
“Oh! I would like to meet him sometime!” Junki said, smiling.
“You can meet me now,” a voice said from behind, and he turned to find a charming man standing at the door.
The werewolf.
The fun had begun.
**
Jaejoong was a curious person, even as a human. His curiosity gave him trouble. That was why he was a vampire in the first place. Curiosity killed the cat. And him too.
So when he grabbed a chance, he went to Yunho’s house. He didn’t smell the werewolf there, so it should have been safe for him to check if Yunho was okay and then just go back home.
He entered through the back door and went straight to the first floor, where Yunho’s room was. He remembered Changmin telling him that. They were buddies, so they visited each other’s homes. He walked slowly, his attention being distributed everywhere, just in case he missed the smell of werewolf in the house, but everything was clear.
Jaejoong entered a room where he smelled Yunho’s scent. He smelled really good for a wolf descendant. He closed the door slowly, looking around for Yunho, but he wasn’t there. It was weird because he was sure that Yunho was home. Junki told him so because he was here earlier.
The boy kept looking around the room. Some pictures attracted his attention. Jaejoong went to the drawer they were on and started to look at them individually. The photos were all of Yunho’s life, since he was a baby, until now. He looked so handsome. Good genes indeed. He took a photo in his hands and looked at it better. It was Yunho with his mother and another man, his dad, he thought, and a really big cake.
“It is from my 13th birthday,” a voice said from behind, and Jaejoong jumped, scared. A vampire being scared. Funny.
“Yunho.” The name left his lips without him wanting, but he didn’t expect to see him, standing on his own feet after that accident. But then again, he had those genes.
“How did you get in here, Jaejoong?” asked the tanned boy, walking towards his closet.
He was nervous. Not every day you get to see Shim Jaejoong in your room. Those leather pants did look really good on him, and the blond hair, and red lips,;they were just perfect. He was like a porcelain doll.
“Um, your mother let me in,” replied Jaejoong, a little bit unsure about how to lie.
“Mom’s not home, try again, Jaejoong,” said Yunho, smiling while choosing something to wear.
He heard a sigh behind him, and what happened next he didn’t expect. He was grabbed by his shoulders and pushed onto the bed roughly. Jaejoong climbed on top of him, and held his face with both of his hands. Jaejoong looked into his eyes with his piercing gaze.
“As much as I love to look at your really hot body, I want you to forget that I was here today and do whatever you wanted to do earlier.”
With that, Jaejoong got up from him and ran at super high speed out of the room.
Yunho stood there, looking at the door, wondering why the fuck Jaejoong did that.
**
Jaejoong was pretty much a mess walking. He couldn’t get Yunho’s body out of his head. He was clueless when it came to sexual interactions. Even if he was a vampire for nearly a hundred years, during the first fifty years, he mourned over that fact, and after that, started to accept himself as a vampire. He didn’t really have time to think about sex. Only recently, after sex was being so promoted in society, had he started to think about it. He admired men’s bodies. He was gay, like Changmin said after the first discussion that they had ever had about this. The boy was bisexual; he had tried both men and women. He preferred women, though, and men only when he was bored or angry.
Jaejoong spent the entire night thinking about Yunho’s back muscles. They looked so damn fine, and when he had him under his body, something inside of him exploded. That was why he left so quickly too.
**
Yunho was returning to school two days after the accident. His uncle had taken care that nobody would find out about how critical the accident was, and apparently, his uncle had hidden Seulgi’s body somewhere. He didn’t want to know though. He wanted to forget the damn thing.
He was grateful that he didn’t remember anything from the accident, apart from a person who was standing in the middle of the road. Who the fuck was that person? Standing in the middle of the road and provoking accidents. Thank God he had these supernatural genes, or else he would be buried next to his father’s body.
When he first reached school, everybody jumped on him, expressing their concern and every shit you get every time something bad happens to you.
The first thing he noticed was Jaejoong and Changmin getting out of their cars. It was pretty funny that they both lived in the same house but they had different cars and came to school separately. From what Changmin told him, Jaejoong was pretty much a maniac when it came to high speeds.
Then, he suddenly remembered the event of yesterday. The demanding, and actually, the fucking inhumane speed of Jaejoong. He walked faster towards Jaejoong’s car, where the man was standing too, and grabbed one of his arms, pushing him hard against the car.
He expected a push back, but instead, Jaejoong moaned. When the pretty boy realized what he actually did, he blushed while looking down, and Yunho chuckled. The boy was damn cute.
**
Jaejoong was embarrassed to no end. How could he moan because of the sudden push against the car?
“What the fuck was that thing with the ‘forget that I was here today and do whatever you wanted to do earlier’?” asked Yunho, taking Jaejoong’s chin in his hand. The blondie licked his lips, unsure of what he had to say. How the hell did Yunho remember that? Trying to come up with an excuse, he noticed the bracelet that Yunho had on his hand.
“The bracelet…” he stated, but couldn’t continue his own sentence.
“Yeah, my uncle gave it to me. Could you answer my question now?” asked Yunho again, but Jaejoong remained silent.
“Problem here, Yunho? I think you’re aggressing my brother. I know he’s pretty, but if you want something with him, I would like you to court him first. You know, flirting before fucking,” Changmin’s voice came out of nowhere, and the two boys jumped like something had burned them.
“Go to hell, Changmin,” mumbled Jaejoong before slipping away from the two tall guys.
“Virgins. They blush about everything.” Changmin grinned at Yunho’s expression, and then he walked away laughing.
Yunho remained in the same spot, digesting what Changmin said. Virgin? Jaejoong? But everyone referred him as “slutty.”
He shook his head and went after Changmin. His life was becoming weirder, if that was possible.
**
Later that night, Yunho was eating dinner in his room, when his uncle came in barging and yelling at him.
“What business do you have with those two?” asked Jihoo, pretty much pissed off, because his eyes somehow had golden shades.
“Those two?” asked Yunho, clueless, looking at his uncle like he was on crack.
“The two from this morning,” said Jihoo, trying to calm himself down. It was hard when you were a werewolf. Your temper was a damned thing, and you could explode anytime.
“You mean Changmin and Jaejoong? They are my friends. Why?” Yunho said, unsure. Was he a friend of Jaejoong’s? They only talked three times. The first time was when they got into the town and he and his mother went to greet them, and the other two were yesterday and this morning.
“Friends?! How can you be friends with vampires?!” Jihoo raised his voice, startling Yunho.
Vampires?! Changmin and Jaejoong, vampires?! He couldn’t believe it! How in the world? It would make sense for Jaejoong, but Changmin? Had he been lied to all this time?
“How in the world do you know that they are vampires?” asked Yunho, not buying it fully. But it did make sense. Supernatural speed and force too.
“I know who their 'father,' or better said, protector, is. I do not want to see them around you anymore!” Jihoo said and walked out of the room.
Yunho remained furious. He hated his uncle because of his attitude. He was so damn annoying, demanding things like he actually had a right over his life.
**
The next couple of days, Yunho kept avoiding Changmin. It was hard, because they were friends and had the same circle of friends, but he somehow managed to do it. It wasn’t because Jihoo said so; it was because he didn’t know how to handle this. It was too much; finding out that you were not human, and then finding out that your friend was a vampire, and the fact that he had the hots for a man that was a vampire too. It didn’t really help much.
At the lunch hour, he sneaked out of class before Changmin could see him and went in a special place that he hadn’t visited in a long time. The school’s rooftop.
However, one person he didn’t expect to meet was there too: Jaejoong. He gulped and turned to leave in the hopes that the other hadn’t noticed him.
“Why are you avoiding Changmin?” Jaejoong’s voice came, and Yunho stopped walking.
“I’m not avoiding him,” he lied and cussed himself for not running away from the man.
He was damn gorgeous, and the fact that he was suddenly too horny for his own good was a reason more for leaving. He always thought that Jaejoong was indeed beautiful, too uncommon for a man, but not impossible. However, the rumors that had been going around the school and the facts that Changmin was telling him were too different. He didn’t want to approach him because he awakened something inside of him that was totally new to Yunho.
“Oh, really? Did your uncle spill the soup?” asked the blond vampire, getting close to Yunho with his super high speed that Yunho wanted to try too.
“My uncle didn’t say anything,” he lied again and he heard Jaejoong’s 'tsk.'
“You’re lying. I know that the werewolf told you what we are. And you’re avoiding Changmin. Don’t be a pansy. If we wanted to kill you, we would have already done so. Ripping your heart out wouldn’t be too difficult. You’re strong, but not strong enough,” Jaejoong said, playing a little with Yunho’s mind. It was simple indeed to kill him, but he didn’t want to do that. Junki told him that they didn’t have to kill werewolves; they couldn’t hurt them only on a full moon.
“I’m not avoiding you because of what you are. I just do not know how to deal with all of this. Do you understand? My uncle that abandoned us appears three years later telling me that I’m a damn wolf and that one of my friends is a vampire. Fucking simple to take, right?” Yunho didn’t know what came to him to say all of this to Jaejoong, but he couldn’t care less. The boy looked like he wouldn’t judge him for reasons like these.
Surprisingly, Jaejoong said nothing; he only looked at him with a blank expression. He kept looking, and looking, and looking. Yunho was pretty mesmerized by Jaejoong’s porcelain skin, that he didn’t even see him coming closer and taking his mouth in a short kiss, and after that, disappearing.
Yunho remained dumbfounded by the sudden action; he didn’t expect that one coming at all.

When the last period’s bell rang, Yunho sprinted towards the parking lot to fetch his car and leave to his house. However, Changmin was there before he could even think about that possibility. He sighed and saw Changmin laughing.
“Yunho, I couldn’t believe that you were this scared of supernatural things,” he said, grinning, and Yunho found himself smiling. They were friends for a reason; they connected too quickly.
“I see that Jaejoong talked with you,” he said matter-of-factly. Of course he would tell Changmin, they were brothers. Wait. “Are you even brothers?” he asked as realization hit him.
Changmin shook his head and said, sighing, “We’re not brothers. I transformed before he did,” he said with a serious face, and Yunho frowned. Transformed?
“You’re not born like that?” the werewolf asked, a little bit surprised.
“Nope, just werewolves and witches are like that,” he said, coming closer to Yunho. “I understand that this is hard for you, but I do wish that you would be a man and say the things that you have to say directly. Not hiding. We’re friends, Yunho, and I did nothing to threaten your life, nor will I do something like that. I haven't had friends in a long time,” he said with a sad smile on his face, and Yunho felt sorry for being an ignorant asshole.
“I’m sorry, man,” Yunho said, hugging Changmin.
“No problem. So, dinner at my place? Just to get used to my supernatural family!” said Changmin jokingly, and Yunho agreed. Another chance to see Jaejoong without too much trouble.
**
Jaejoong didn’t go out of the house all day. He didn’t know what came over him to kiss Yunho like that. It was just a peck, but damn, he didn’t even know if Yunho was gay, or at least bisexual. However, he knew for sure that he liked the other a lot. It wasn’t love. But he liked him, physically, at least; he didn’t have anything to reproach about. He didn’t know him personally well, and at school, there were a lot of rumors about Yunho sleeping around, but he couldn’t trust them, just like those rumors about him. They were all fake. Gossip was a human thing. They couldn’t live without them.
Jaejoong was quite avoiding meeting Yunho again, because he didn’t know how to act around him. He was a lot better at avoiding than Yunho was. The fact that he could run away at a high speed was just a favorable thing to him.
What Jaejoong didn’t expect was Yunho coming to have dinner at their house that night. Changmin hid it too well. He was a bastard sometimes.
**
When Yunho arrived at Changmin’s house and saw Jaejoong’s surprised face, he smirked. It looked like Changmin was enjoying playing games with both of them, and the situation was actually favorable to Yunho.
Jaejoong blushed madly during the entire evening. Everything was awkward to him. It was the first time in nearly a hundred years when he blushed because of someone. Yunho’s eyes were on him the whole evening, even at the dinner table, and that didn’t go unobserved by Junki, who immediately started to tease him indirectly about it.
Damn puppy! He was making him feel like a different person.
So when he excused himself to go to his bedroom, he didn’t actually expect that Yunho would ask where the bathroom was. Jaejoong was blushing furiously, and he walked really fast until he reached his bedroom. The damn bathroom was only two rooms away from his room.
Jaejoong entered his room, but before he could close the door, someone held it. He knew very well who the one doing that was: Changmin.
“Let me close the damn door, Changmin,” he growled at the boy, but only received laughter. “I mean it, Changmin. Stop playing these kinds of stupid games!” he said, frustrated.
He knew that Changmin was ready to make his life hell because of what he saw in his head. Vampires that had a special bond, like a family one, the one that he shared with Changmin, permitted them to see what was going on in each other’s mind. Something like a special mindreading bond. It was a great thing, but at the same time it had its disadvantages, just like this one. He saw Jaejoong taking a liking to Yunho, and then the kiss too, and now, he was taking his role as a brother to tease him and make him suffer a little.
It was embarrassing.
“Yunho, you’d better hurry, because he’s ready to chop my hand off,” Changmin raised his voice, enough for Yunho to hear, and Jaejoong growled. Fucking Changmin, he would pay for it.
Footsteps were heard and Changmin pushed the door harder, making Jaejoong stumble over his own feet and fall backwards. Yunho walked inside the room being absolutely perfect and handsome, and Jaejoong hated him for that, because he was making him uneasy, and he didn’t like to feel like a girl.
Jaejoong heard how the door was closed and Yunho passed by him, sitting on his bed. The vampire got up from the floor and turned to face the soon-to-be werewolf. Jaejoong chewed his lower lip, unsure of what to do.
“So, you were trying to avoid me too, huh?” asked Yunho, smirking slightly. “Why? Was it because of the kiss?” he continued, observing Jaejoong’s reaction.
The blond boy looked blankly at him, without giving any hint of emotion, just to make Yunho frustrated because of the lack of response.
Seeing that he wouldn’t get any answer from Jaejoong, Yunho got up on his feet and walked towards the boy.
“Shall we repeat it so that you can actually know what to say?” he asked Jaejoong, but didn’t give the other a chance to answer, because he captured the boy’s lips. Jaejoong’s lips were soft and plump.
When Yunho saw that the vampire didn’t protest to being kissed or respond to it, he grabbed the other’s head, tilting it so he could have better access to the other’s mouth. The kiss was sloppy and a little bit awkward because Jaejoong didn’t have any response at all. He let Yunho do as he pleased, and that made the other a little bit angry.
Yunho broke the kiss and walked backwards. Jaejoong didn’t reciprocate his kiss at all, so it was only fair for him to stop.
Jaejoong’s face was still blank and unreadable while inside of his stomach there weren’t just butterflies, but an entire zoo. The kiss, that he couldn’t bring himself to kiss back to because he felt too shy all of a sudden, left him bothered, hot, and needy. It was amazing what another person could do to his body with only one kiss, one-sided too.
As soon as Yunho noticed the change in Jaejoong’s eye color, he opened his mouth to highlight it out loud, but he was suddenly pushed roughly, and he stumbled over the bed with Jaejoong on him. The vampire kissed him fully on his lips. Yunho was shocked by the sudden outburst. The feeling of Jaejoong pressed against him was amazing. He immediately got up and straddled the man on his lap.
Both of them had their hands on the other’s body, touching everything that they could. Jaejoong found the buttons of Yunho’s shirt and he almost ripped the shirt because of his impatience. The soon-to-be werewolf broke the kiss and moved his lips towards Jaejoong’s neck. He started sucking and biting the white flesh, making the boy moan in appreciation.
Jaejoong had his hands fisted in Yunho’s silky hair, feeling the smoothness of it, making him even more aroused if it was possible. He started grinding himself against Yunho’s crotch, earning a small grunt from the boy. He cupped Yunho’s face and captured the other’s lips in another heated kiss, all tongues and teeth.
Soon, Yunho changed their position, and had Jaejoong, a moaning and breathless mess, under him. The sight of him beneath him was such an erotic one. His hair was all spread out in different places, his cheeks were red, his lips swollen, and his eyes were full of lust. Yunho had never seen someone as beautiful as him.
“You’re so damn gorgeous,” murmured Yunho as he traced up a line from Jaejoong’s stomach until he reached his neck and bit it hard.
The werewolf grabbed Jaejoong’s t-shirt and ripped it brutally, revealing the blond’s chest and milky skin. He only gulped at seeing such a perfect chest, firm and white, only perfect to be bitten. Jaejoong’s nipples were pink and erected. He took one between his fingers and he started sucking the other one.
The sounds that were coming from the boy underneath him were a heavenly composition to his ears. No instrument could make such beautiful sounds. It was out of this world, and he felt damn proud because he was the reason behind them.
For Jaejoong, Yunho’s touches were heaven or something similar to it. It was like he was eating chocolate with caramelized hazelnuts. It was his favorite dessert in the world, and when he took a bite from it, he felt so damn good. He didn’t want the other to stop.
Jaejoong didn’t think that from these kinds of touches, he could feel something similar to this.
When Yunho had enough fun with Jaejoong’s nipples, he captured the other boy’s plump lips, while one of his hands sneaked inside the other’s pants. He felt Jaejoong’s arousal, and, surprisingly, didn’t find it disgusting. He always had a soft spot for pretty boys, and that didn’t make him really straight or an “only-girls” lover. With such a beauty underneath him, who the hell would want a girl?
Yunho’s hands started to work at getting Jaejoong’s pants off, and with a little help from the other, he managed to do so. He threw them in some part of the room and took off Jaejoong’s boxers too. The other’s manhood was surprisingly cute in Yunho’s eyes, much to Jaejoong’s embarrassment.
“Stop staring.” The vampire’s quiet, but full of lust, voice was heard and Yunho looked up at him, smiling a little. “Why are you still dressed?”
Yunho laughed a little, took off his t-shirt, and threw it in the room. He started to work on his pants' belt, and Jaejoong’s hands came to help. The vampire was quite impatient. It felt weird and rushed, but it was perfect to him. They didn’t know each other too well, but the attraction was obvious there. He trusted Yunho with this because the boy was more experienced than him in this field.
When the werewolf’s pants were off together with his boxers, Jaejoong licked his lips. Damn hot stuff the boy got there. He didn’t think that Yunho was ungifted, but this was actually a surprise. He was even bigger than Changmin.
Yes, they had taken baths and all sorts of things together naked, but they couldn’t like each other sexually. It was something weird, though. Changmin was handsome; stupid and annoying, but handsome. Jaejoong shook his head. He shouldn’t have been thinking about that stuff now, when Yunho was in front of him and they were both hot and needy.
Jaejoong went higher on the bed to have more space for them to move, and Yunho followed the boy. They started kissing again, with Yunho on top of Jaejoong while they were moving their bodies slowly, their erections touching, making it more pleasurable for them.
Yunho sneaked one of his hands between their bodies and wrapped it around their manhoods, then started rubbing them together. The movements were slow at first, but Jaejoong’s hips started to move faster, so Yunho quickened the peace.
Unlocking their mouths, Yunho looked at Jaejoong’s beautiful face again, the way he threw his head backwards, how his eyes were shut tightly and his mouth was open in a perfect “o” shape. He continued rubbing their erections together, making Jaejoong’s gasps more and more audible.
Jaejoong guided one of his hands between their bodies and took hold of Yunho’s manhood, letting the boy take care of his erection. He started pumping it while looking at Yunho’s face. He never noticed the mole that was located above his upper lip or the deep color of Yunho’s eyes that wasn’t black or brown, but a perfect combination that made him lose himself in them. He saw his reflection too. Such an erotic sight.
With a sharp cry, Jaejoong came in Yunho’s hands, dirtying both of them, but didn’t stop him from moving his hands around Yunho’s penis until he came too.
Yunho landed on top of Jaejoong and hugged the boy, bringing his body even closer to his, if that was even possible. Their legs were tangled together and both were trying to catch their breaths. Jaejoong was dropping butterfly kisses over Yunho’s collarbones, biting them softly, while the other was looking at an empty spot in the room.
“Do you regret this?” asked Jaejoong, a little bit unsure. For a nearly hundred-year-old vampire, he was still pretty shy and insecure.
“Nope,” answered Yunho truthfully. He didn’t regret any of what happened. Why would he?
“But you like girls,” Jaejoong stated, making Yunho chuckle.
“I can like both sexes. But I like you right now, so I don’t think I need any girl.” The werewolf planted a kiss on Jaejoong’s temple.
“I like you too. I don’t know how or why. But I like you,” Jaejoong confessed, hiding his face in Yunho’s chest, listening to his heartbeat that was just like a lullaby.
Yunho touched Jaejoong’s chin, lifting his head to have a better view of his face.
“For a vampire, you’re incredibly shy,” he said teasingly and laughed when Jaejoong bit his nose. “But you’re cute. And mine,” he continued.
“Yours. What does make us?” asked Jaejoong, playing dumb. He already knew pretty much that they were an item with this declaration.
“Well, to begin with, there is an 'us,' so there is a connection or relationship between us. So we’re something like together. I want us to date normally, and not hurry our relationship. Even though we did what we did tonight, I want us to take time and be like a normal couple,” Yunho said truthfully. He didn’t really think of having a serious relationship, but he was willing to try with Jaejoong.
“A soon-to-be werewolf and a vampire. What a normal couple!” exclaimed Jaejoong, giggling, and Yunho laughed.
“Speaking of vampires, how old are you?” asked Yunho, blinking fast. Jaejoong took his precious seconds to respond.
“Ninety-two. But if it makes it better, I was transformed when I was twenty!” Yunho stayed silent and Jaejoong felt like hours passed until he had a response from the werewolf.
“That’s a long time. It must be awesome and a tragedy at the same time. Seeing people born and then die while you remain unchanged.” Part of Yunho knew that something would happen to him too; werewolves lived a long life too, if they weren’t killed by vampires.
“It is. But for the first time in my nearly hundred years of existence, I’m happy and grateful. I met you. I’m not going to say something similar to a cliché, like I love you or something like that, but I feel like we have a bond and we were meant to meet. After seeing that vampires and witches and werewolves do exist, I no longer doubt that fate and destiny are something real.” Yunho was speechless because everything that Jaejoong said in the last part was pretty true. Maybe they were fated to be together.
“Oh, so adorable and full of romance. Now you’re done? And cover yourselves!” someone from the door said, and both of them jumped in surprise.
“Changmin! What the hell, what are you doing here? And since when were you standing there?!” whined Jaejoong, getting the covers to hide their bodies. “Get out, you pig!” he screamed.
“Since you started your mushy-mushy talk. I didn’t know you had this in you, JaeJae. You’re a box full of surprises,” Changmin mocked, looking at them with a devilish grin. He loved teasing people, and Jaejoong was one of his favorite subjects.
“Go and find a lover, will you?” said Jaejoong, earning a giggle from Yunho. “What do you want?” he asked again, hugging Yunho’s body closer while the other caressed his head. He was petting him, and it was so damn good, that it made Jaejoong sleepy.
“Father wants to know if Yunho is staying over and if you guys want a little snack,” Changmin said, and Jaejoong looked at Yunho with hopeful eyes. They had a lot to talk about, and spending the night together would only make this day even more perfect.
Seeing his new boyfriend’s eyes full of hope, he agreed to spending the night. What bad could happen? Changmin nodded and turned to leave, but Jaejoong’s voice stopped him.
“And do bring us a snack and soda. And strawberries.”
“What? Yunho got you pregnant already?” asked Changmin mockingly and shut the door when a pillow went flying to a super high speed towards him.
“Asshole!” Jaejoong yelled and Yunho laughed at his antics.
He had never seen this side of Jaejoong. He thought that he was calm, cold, and quiet, but seeing him act around Changmin, something told him that he would never get bored of him.
A minute later, Changmin was already back in the room, with their snacks and drink. After he placed the tray on the little coffee table that was in the room, he turned to them. “Dad said no sex on first date!” With that, he went out of the room. His laughter could be heard even with the door closed.
Jaejoong had his face red in Yunho’s chest because of his embarrassing brother while the other was laughing. “I’m going to murder him and spread parts of his body on every place of this planet!”
Yunho just kissed his head and kept laughing.
**
The next morning, Yunho was dressed, showered, and having breakfast with Jaejoong’s dad. They were talking about some football game that was coming pretty soon. He was glad that Junki was an open-minded person that accepted him pretty early in his family and gave his permission to date Jaejoong.
Last night was something he wouldn’t ever forget. They talked and talked and talked some more until it was four in the morning. Even though he only got three hours of sleep, waking up next to Jaejoong was something he would gladly do every day.
After he finished breakfast, he went straight home to change his clothes because it was still a school day. Just as he entered the house, his uncle struck him into the door with inhuman force.
“Where the hell have you been?” Yunho’s uncle asked, a hand gripping his neck and he sniffing the boy. “Why the hell do I smell vampires on you?” he asked again and Yunho only looked at him coldly and blankly.
“Jihoo, let him down,” came his mother’s voice, and Jihoo didn’t even bother to acknowledge her command. “Jihoo, hands down now!” The woman’s voice was colder than before.
Jihoo looked at Yunho with hatred and let him go as his mother came to help him.
“I don’t want you to see those vampires anymore,” Yunho’s uncle said and turned to leave.
“I won’t do that,” came Yunho’s voice and Jihoo faced him again. “I won’t listen to your bitchy demands. You’re just my uncle and nothing more. I do not care that you’re a werewolf just like me, I do not care if you’re my family. You won’t rule my life. It’s my damn life,” Yunho said, meaning every single word. He wouldn’t let this man try to separate him from Jaejoong or dictate his life.
“Listen here, kid, you’re going to stay away from those vampires, and don’t make me lock you inside this house!” Jihoo was angry, and Yunho felt it.
“Lock me inside the house? Ha! You do know that I could very easily ask Jaejoong’s father to kill you, right? I could end your life with just one phone call; I think that they would gladly rip your heart out. I do not like you, so I won’t listen to your words. You don’t just come back here and demand respect and act like you’re all mighty just because you’re my father’s brother. Go back to your life, and leave me alone!” Yunho said, exasperated. Who the hell did this guy think he was? Okay, he was his uncle. So what? It didn’t give him any rights!
“I think you guys should calm down and talk this out,” his mother said calmly, but she was clearly on Yunho’s side. She never liked Jihoo. She knew about the werewolf thing too; after all, her husband was one, but she wasn’t a big fan of it, so she avoided turning him into one. His death wasn’t an accident as she made Yunho think, but someone had killed him. It could have been a vampire, or even another werewolf.
“There’s nothing to talk about. He has to listen to me, find a mate, and have kids,” Jihoo said, and Yunho exploded right there.
“I won’t find any damn mate, nor have kids. I have somebody else, and that person won’t give you other werewolf descendants from this family, understood?” Yunho said and walked towards the stairs, only to be pounced at by his uncle, both falling on the ground.
He punched him straight into the face, but he didn’t let the older man win. He grabbed the other’s head with both of his hands and banged his own head against it. After that, he punched him in the face too, making the man fall backwards. He heard his mother scream, but didn’t really care. The damn Jihoo was begging for it.
When Yunho was on his feet, the other man had already thrown another punch, but someone grabbed the werewolf’s hand and hit him in the stomach, sending him right across the room. It was Changmin.
Yunho felt a pair of arms hugging his waist and he instantly knew that it was Jaejoong.
“What are you doing here, guys?” asked Yunho, pretty much confused.
“The princess missed you and started whining because he didn’t wake up next to you,” Changmin said, laughing, and he felt Jaejoong pouting. “Good thing that we came,” he added, eyeing Yunho’s uncle.
“Hello, Mrs. Jung!” Jaejoong shyly greeted the woman from Yunho’s back, and she smiled at him. From the three of the Shims, she had always liked Jaejoong for his beauty. Even though they were vampires, she wasn’t as judgmental as her brother-in-law.
“Oh, so your vampire friends came to rescue you? Are you that weak?” asked Jihoo, getting up from the ground.
“Listen here, you dog. You’d better go back from where you came before I make sure to kill you, after I torture you. Don’t forget, I’m older than you, and I know what little bitches like you are afraid of. So take your hairy ass and leave the town and let Yunho alone,” Junki said, coming out of nowhere.
“You’re going to pay, Yunho,” Jihoo said, growling at them and then running out of the house.
Yunho’s mother looked freaked out. She never expected the man to be such an evil one. She didn't like him, but never did it cross her mind that he would threaten his own family.
“Don’t worry, Mrs. Jung. If he comes back, he won’t get closer to you or Yunho,” Junki assured her, smiling charmingly. “I’m going to make a few calls and I’ll know where he will be every single moment.” Mrs. Jung only nodded and looked at her son and Jaejoong. They were making goo-goo eyes at each other.
“Do you want some coffee and pancakes, darlings?” she said, smiling fondly and giggled when Jaejoong blushed.
People who said that vampires were evil hadn’t met these three lovely vampires to know them.
**
6 months later
“I can’t believe you guys! How could you do that in the kitchen?!” Changmin asked, exasperated and angry.
Yunho looked guilty when he heard him screaming, but Jaejoong just grinned at his brother.
“We were horny,” he responded without shame and laughed at his brother’s expression.
“Seriously, Yunho?! I expected more of you, since my brother is pretty stupid. Receiving a blowjob in the kitchen?! Where people eat?!” Changmin was acting like a mother, and Jaejoong was having so much fun.
“You’re just like a mommy, Minnie!” Jaejoong remarked, earning a pinch from Yunho. That remark made Changmin lose his control.
“I’m going to murder you!” he said, pouncing at Jaejoong, but the latter reacted faster and ran away, while Yunho stood there awkwardly, with only his boxers on.
Mornings like these were pretty common, only that Changmin didn’t fully like their sexual appetite. They were both horny and needy, and they couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
What made that morning even more awkward was Junki appearing in the kitchen. They both stared at each other, neither of them saying a word.
“It happened again?” Changmin’s father asked, and Yunho nodded, suddenly feeling so embarrassed about his own actions. It was Jaejoong’s father; maybe not the real one, but still, it was… awkward for him to be seen by him in this position. If it were his mother, she’d be already taking photos and squealing. She was pretty much a fangirl when it came to his and Jaejoong’s relationship. It was weird, but he was happy that his mother accepted his lovely boyfriend.
“So…” Junki begun awkwardly. “Breakfast?!”
“How do you expect someone to still eat breakfast here?!” Changmin’s voice came out of nowhere, and Yunho was startled by it.
“Don’t be such a bitch, Changmin. We didn’t touch anything, apart from the floor and the chair that Yunho was sitting on,” Jaejoong said appearing out of nowhere too, clinging onto Yunho.
“Slut,” was only the remark that Changmin made a comeback with.
Jaejoong gaped, faking being hurt by the word, and Yunho laughed.
Did he ever mention that he couldn’t get bored with these people in his life? Yunho loved them. They were that light in someone’s life, the one that a person couldn’t live without.
Moreover, he loved Jaejoong dearly; he came to be so attached to the vampire, it was amazing. He was never a fan of serious relationships and commitment, but for Jaejoong, he would bring the stars from the skies to his feet. He would give his life to make the other happy, and the fact that Jaejoong loved him as much as he did made him the happiest werewolf alive.
Later, when they were having their breakfast, Jaejoong gave him a plate with heart-shaped pancakes and an “I love you” written on top with chocolate syrup.
“I love you too,” he said back, earning a beautiful smile from Jaejoong, a cooing from Junki, and a gagging sound from Changmin.
Life was perfect indeed.
