So, in case you hadn't noticed, Mamma is about as old as Reial (no exaggeration). She's also been around a bit, both with armies and on her own. She also ran a tavern (-ish) that was fairly popular among tourists and Jägerkin.
She's bound to have picked up a few...tidbits, here and there about various of your characters. If they have a military history, did something notable a long, long time ago, etc. etc. she may have heard of them.
