Okay, I'm single, and there aren't a lot of good dating oppurtunities in my life atm. I certainly can't meet anyone at work ;)
I've signed up for a few different dating services, including match.com (only the free parts mind you, I've only ever spent money on yahoo so far.) Most of the sites you can at least receive messages form other members, but have to sign up if you want to reply. Not match.com though. Nope, I received an email the other day form the service saying that someone has sent me an email, but if I want to read it, I have to pony up a minimum of $30. Maybe I'm missing out on the love of my life here, but I've decided not to. As of a few minutes ago, I've submitted the following intro, which will no doubt be rejected.
Leaving here after reading online about the site,
prior to deciding if I wanted to pony up 30 dollars
just to read an email. I decided against. If someone
really wants to contact me, I'm not too hard to find
in other ways.
Formerly: Single, just turned 30 and looking for female
who wants to have some fun. Not looking for commitment
at this time, just sensuality with minimal strings. If we really
click, I'm not adverse to the idea of a long term relationship.
I encourage anyone else thinking about signing up with match.com to check out
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/dating_services/match.html first. They seem to have a history of less than great business practices.
