no vampire porn, please.

Will someone please write a story about Justin Timberlake called Your Tongue Like the Sun in My Mouth? Come on, people! The eagle-eyed marythefan has figured out that the track list that was attributed to FutureSex/LoveSounds actually seems to be mostly from a Sophie B. Hawkins album called Timbre (very clever, whoever), and proposed a challenge around that, which I'll totally be signing up for as soon as I figure out what song I want. I figure I'll be spending half of September (please God not much more than that) unemployed in a new city, what else will I have to do but write more stories about Justin Timberlake? What else would I want to do but write more stories about Justin Timberlake?

I actually have mixed feelings about the track listing turning out to be wrong. I wasn't familiar with the album, b/c I know Sophie B. only from the song Damn, I wish I were your lover, which instantly takes me back to a certain summer on Beverly Hills, 90210 and so is always fabulous. But when I saw the track listing, I was like, Your Tongue Like the Sun in My Mouth -- I think I'd like to hear that song. Good job, Timberlake! But then I saw The Darkest Childe and I was like, oh, great, there's no way that's not vampire porn. And I feel I know you well enough to reveal this to you, friendslist -- I do not care for vampire porn. I mean, if that's your choice, then I honor your journey, but for myself, I think I'll refrain. And you know what I think I care for less than vampire porn? Vampire porn that's not in the form of, well, porn, but in the form of a song. (Also, I totally saw the title and thought, man, I would have thought vampire porn was much more up JC's alley.)

Speaking of, I've been very happy to see the pictures of the birthday boy with JT, and all the pre-release promo starting up for Justin! I'm kind of consoled about my lack of tickets by the fact that there's so much pop on my friendslist lately. And I'm absolutely looking forward to in-depth reviews of the club shows by those lucky enough to get tickets.
