if you feel the same as I do

No Justin tickets for me, alack alas. I was pretty bummed about it on Friday, but I think I've recovered. And the Philly show will be before I get out there, so it looks like no for me all around. But I hope some people on my friendslist will go and write about it. I'm sure it will be amazing ( Read more... )

Aww, man, I was hoping you got tickets. I didn't either, and I was heartbroken. Still am. Friday was absolutely hellish. Not only did I not get tickets, but it was a horrible day at work. All I wanted to do was crawl into a hole and live there for a year or two, lol.

Hopefully something will pan out for both of us. I bet the one thing you won't get done is packing! I moved a few months ago and I hate it! Have fun. *snark*

Man, it seems like almost nobody got tickets! I'm sorry that you didn't get yours either. Luckily there'll be a bigger tour for the album, I'm sure, and that will be easier to get tickets to, but still.

Your prediction was correct -- I did not pack. I have a couple of weeks yet, but I've got to get cracking. It's supposed to be much cooler here this week, so hopefully that will inspire me to do more than sit in front of the fan and drink iced tea.

I hope so. I need to go to this concert. I feel like if I don't, I'll die. I know that's entirely too dramatic, but yes. It's how I feel. The ticket thing is horrible. There are so many pairs on ebay. It makes me sick.

But I come bearing gifts: I believe ALL of NSYNC is in LA for JC's birthday. There are some pictures floating around of JC OBLITERATED, Lance with Reichen--hugging and smilng no beards in sight--http://usmagazine.com/blocks/photomoment/photos/fullimages/timberlakechasez.jpg.

This makes me very happy!

Oh, those pictures are great! Just as great has been seeing them pop up on so many people's journals -- I love when there's such a resurgence.

I'm sure that when Timberlake tours for the album, he'll be playing at least arenas and often two-day stands in the big cities, so I think there'll be very little trouble getting tickets. I mean, the shows may sell out, but not at 10:00:02 AM like they've been doing. Last time around I went to both the club show and the arena show, and while I loved the club show the other show was really, really fun too.

I really loved The Glass Castle--Walls' love for her parents in spite of everything (that scene with her and her dad in the bar freaked me out) really moved me. Def. one of the best memoirs I've read in ages.

I liked Heat too, though I thought the last third dragged--I liked the trips to Italy but as they kept going and going I grew bored with the larger-than-life portrayals of everyone he met/worked with there. The first third or so, which focused mostly on his work with Batali though--that was outstanding.

I thought The Boy I Loved Before was cute too. But I haven't liked any of her other books.

Wasn't The Glass Castle fantastic? The scene you talk about, where her father's basically pimping her, was amazing and so horrifying. One of the things I loved about the book was that she didn't seem to be glorifying herself or even vilifying her parents, but I came out with such admiration for her and her siblings, because really, how do you make peace with something like what happened in that scene? And her whole childhood was like that.

The Babbo parts of Heat really were the best.
