Good on you, Lance! I'm happy for you. And good job on my friendslist -- reading everyone's reactions has been so much fun.
Okay, as with many things Timberlake, I awaited the video with a mixture of excited anticipation and wariness. Because, the thing is, lots of times when people (and by people I mean members of *nsync) set out deliberately to be sexy, the results can be kind of ridiculous. And in typical Timberlake fashion, I thought the video was sexy AND a little ridiculous, but ridiculous in the Timberlake way that makes me giddy.
Things I really liked: the close shots of Justin's hands opening and closing, I thought the girl was hot, Justin bopping down the hall at the beginning, the moment about halfway through when he says "Listen" and his voice is much less distorted than in the rest of the song. What I LOVED: the moment when he sits in the chair and then spins around. Justin has this way sometimes of sitting down that's overly precise, almost precious, and when he did that and then SPUN -- well, people, I'm not made of stone.
My biggest fear now is that he's going to announce club dates for Philadelphia while I'm still in Chicago, and Chicago dates after I go to Philly. Okay, that's not my BIGGEST fear, but it's my biggest Justin-related fear at the moment.
And I'm pleased to report that I've finally arrived at what I think will be a workable story for the JuC Story Swap. I mean, I still have to write it, but at least I've made some progress.
