Bedbug Saga con't and the failing A/C
Last night, I realized that the bedbug have spread to our couch, loveseat and recliners. Also, i have found them in place i would not have expected to find them like the bathrooms. This is very discouraging!! Hubby and I think that the bedbugs are taking a ride on the dogs and that is how they are spreading. So finally, I called teh vet. The vet tells me that bedbugs are like ticks and fleas and will bite the dogs and hitch rides on them. The vet also told me what product to start using on the dogs and that I need to fog my house many time to eventually get rid of them.
Today, the pest control person is coming out again to spray the house for them. I am going to have to discuss with them about getting the house fogged. I am not sure how much that is going to cost, but it will be added to continuing cost to get rid of these pesky pest. It is this or i am going to have to buy new furniture. I would love to buy some new furniture, but I really do not have the money for that and the new furinture might get infested unless the house is cleared of these bugs.
I am almost at wits end over this.
Of course, this is not the only major thing happening with the house. My A/C system is not working well. If you live in Texas or look at a weather report, you should have seen that the temperture here in Austin has been in the triple digits for the last 15 days! And, it is just the beginning of the summer. IT was 107 yesterday!!!
Last year, my A/C cut out all together at the beginning of the summer. I got some one to come out and check it out. One component in the A/C unit was damaged and the guy replaced it and the A/C worked great. It only cost $100. The A/C worked good for a month and then it started to act wierd. The A/C will be going with the fan, then the A/C will kick off, but the fan continues to go. So, by the time that Hubby or I get home, the temp in the house is in the high 80's, but the fan is still going. The A/C worked ok yesterday, but the day before, it was quite hot in the house and I could not get the temp below 86 in the house. So, i have to call some A/C repair people to see who I can get out there to come look at the system and tell us what is wrong. I am hoping that i do not have to buy a new system.
There are other things, but that is all that I have time for to write in the entry. I will keep you updated.
