Today is Valentine's Day. Duh! In my opinion it is a joint business venture between Hallmark, the candy and flower industry. Cynical? Perhaps, but let's face it how much money do they rake in each year for V-day? On can argue that Christmas is just as much of a money making machine, but Christmas has existed a longtime before Valentine's day ever became a "holiday", and the money making machine is really only a recent phenomenon.
In my culinary adventures yesterday evening I made for the very first time chicken paprikash. It turned out really good. I think I found a new favorite thing to make.
I received the books I ordered from Indigo yesterday. I have a book on political campaigning, and the other one on Karl Rove. Those are bound to be interesting reads.
No comments about any of the happenings in the world yet. I have not read my paper yet today. I wish I had time to pour over my favorite papers before starting my day, but that would be awhile. The Globe and Mail and the New York Times alone would take a couple of hours... Anyway, stay tuned for another post from me, as this is looking to be an extremely long day at work.
