GutBusters and Other Things

Feb 20, 2009 19:45

So I didn't do my GutBusters exercises on days three and four, but I sure made up for it with oodles of walking. Wednesday, I probably trooped around two miles or so with a fully stuffed backpack during a night out drinking. Thursday I spent suffering from an incredible hangover.

Today I went to my new dentist and only planned the outbound bus trip. I didn't realize it was mostly down one-way streets. In fact, I was looking for the bus stop signs on the opposite side of the street for quite a while until I realized it was a one-way street. So I followed that road to the end, couldn't seem to find where the correct bus route picked back up, and suddenly found myself in Rock Creek Park with only a general sense of where I was going and no road signs to help me out. By the time I got to the main street going towards my house, I knew I only had a mile to walk and I figured since I had already made it that far, I might as well finish it walking. This was probably a dumb macho idea, but I did it anyway. I walked somewhere between three and five miles total.

I will do my GutBusters tonight, at least, and not go out drinking despite the fact that my cell phone has been ringing off the hook all day long -- pretty much everyone who saw me Wednesday just assumed I would also be out Friday night, despite me having told many of them that I was substituting one for the other. I'm sure all the folks I drunk-dialed or texted but didn't get to see on Wednesday are also contributing to the run on my cellphone minutes.

AgtOrange continues the Alternate-Day diet, but as he forgot to weigh himself yesterday I don't have current results until tomorrow. I had wanted to go to the Urban Explorers meetup at Savage Mill tomorrow, but now I am not interested in the scenic outdoors for a bit. I'm hoping for pancakes instead at either IHOP (all you can eat) or Original Pancake House.

Tuesday we went to Outback and I proceeded to poison myself with almost every food I'm allergic too (booze, onions, steak, dairy). By the next morning I was two pounds lighter, but probably not in the healthiest way. I was also sickly feeling and not eating prior to drinking and walking binge of Thursday. But the steak was so good!

I haven't weighed myself today, but I'm sure I've dropped weight again. I'd have to, with all the walking, wouldn't I? I'll be down to horse-jockey weight in no time! *grin*
