What I Learned On The Internet Today

Aug 10, 2007 00:41

Weblogs are designed for sharing all the flotsam we pick up from the internet and are simply bursting to tell. These articles are all from physorg.com where I get most of my science-related news (about half of which sails right over my head).

Artic climate study reveals impact of soot -- basically more proof we're screwing up the environment, point taken

What we can learn from the biggest extinction on Earth -- supposedly, the huge die-out was most likely caused from a severe increase in greenhouse gases, carbon emissions, etc. Of course, the speculation is that the original source was from a volcanic eruption, rather than industrial pollution, but the net result may very well be the same

The final article, which I won't link, discusses a scientist who found inorganic plasma particles to have lifelike qualities. So when we die out, the solar-beings can take over, I guess.
