Just a thought

Typing now as I feel somewhat delirious from a long day. I feel a desire and a notable amount of passion to write some thoughts I have engaged in. Today I heard something that struck a chord. He said (something to this nature), "Just because you don't agree with your partner's ideas/goals doesn't mean you don't help them in making their successes come to fruition." I do find this true. When one person doesn't agree with you, they (he or she) usually leaves you to your own devices to figure things out because that's not what they want or agree with. I firmly believe that in all relationships that both partners support each other.

I want that in my own relationship.

I can understand how the that statement is so difficult at times. Sometimes helping your partner do what they want to do may leave you feeling a bit of grief, especially if your partner decides to move out of the country, leave their job to travel the world and not consult you in your future together. It's really one of those things you say to yourself to not be selfish. Being selfless is sometimes difficult but we work on being selfless because we love. I'm in no way perfect and this is just something I was thinking about today.
