i'm going through just about the same thing. my mom's getting surgery in about 3 weeks, just in time for us to move. it's going to be a horrible and stressful time but i believe it will make our relationship stronger, because i'm going through (like you spoke similary about) a resentful period where i don't see her as a person but soley as a parent. it's rough, but i'm glad to see your relationship has developed into a positive thing. and it gives me hope for ours.
