there is the physical aspect: the tan, the natural hair color, the loosing of weight, the less makeup, the rejuvenation you feel relaxing outdoors
there is the style: the lighter colors, the lighter clothing, the sandals, the sunglasses, the pedicures, the lipgloss, those open toes you're just waiting to wear, the skirts, the halters, the spagetti straps, the shorter hair or putting it up, the beach head, sleeping in, sleeping naked, staying out all night, letting go
there is the food: ritas water ice, ritas water ice, ritas water ice, ritas custard, ritas gelatis
there is the outdoors: how it's always green(unless there's a drought), the heat, the sun, the breeze, the shore, the beach, the boardwalk at night, the boardwalk in the day, the hammock, the fierce lightning storms, the humidity, the shade of the trees, the pool, the tanning even the humidity, the amusements, the miniature golf, laying in the grass, the riding with the top or windows down, the riding your bike, the sunrises and sunsets, the waverunning, the boats, the lighthouses
there is the smell: fresh cut lawns, funnel cake, the ocean, the pollution in areas, the tanning lotion, the tanning oil, the chlorine on your skin, the sand, the light body splashes
there are the people: the tourists who come from everywhere to do the jersey shore(for some reason) and the surrounding cities being philly and nyc, the obnoxious ones who drive with their music blaring around the same block 23424x, the different crowds at each shore town, the townies, the city people
there are the times spent with your favorite people: laying out with them, smoking with them, making long island iced teas, staying out all night, the beach, the parties, the meeting new people, the flow, the freedom, the love, the happiness, 80s night in the tent, camping, being able to do anything at anytime!

what am i talking about? the summer

, and how i love it, miss it, and anticipate it and everything it represents. i hate this winter-ness.
