Funny Story of the Week Part 6 (a little late...)

Feb 18, 2008 20:28

Last week was cut short due to inclement weather, so one story is stolen from a Social Studies student teacher placed at West Jessamine.

Students were doing a web search (basically, you get on the internets and look up stuff) about JFK.  My friend realized that students were copying off of each other after 17 out of 28 students put that JFK was assinated in the 1920's.  WTF mate!  Think of the time line here.  That means that it may have been plausible for nuclear weapons to be used during the Civil War.  And thinking of the future, the internets would have been created in the 1960's during all that hippy nonsense.  This, of course, made my friend's head hurt and caused over half of his students to recieve a ZERO on an assignment.

In my own classroom, I had been afraid that my student, who was obsessed with asking about Caesar's phallus (I'm talking bringing it up 3+ times a day), would ask about it on Friday, during my first observation.  Luckily, the day before, three of his friends turned on him and asked him if "he was gay or something", and being that they are all hyper masculine and are on the baseball team together, the student has not mentioned the phallus since.

That is all.
