An engaging and insightful look into the relationship among these three cousins, and how that familial relationship affected Europe, and lead their reigns to their respective conclusions. I really do mean insightful. The author had access to the most private letters of Queen Victoria’s family, and the window of family relations offers an intriguing look at Europe during the late 1800s/early 1900s. It also offers some insight into the beginnings of monarchical system’s evolution into its modern state.

I liked it. :-)
