I'm looking at a daypack with hydration, so I can carry stuff in it too. Minimum capacity of 2 liters.
I want to use it for day hikes, festivals, maybe even Gaia Consort shows... Basically, all the places where my 1L Nalgene bottles are inadequate. No serious backpacking or cycling or anything; if I get to that point, I can buy something more specialized.
Most of the people I know prefer platypus bladders to camelbacks -- better heads on the tubes (more flow through, less dripping) and I haven't noticed taste issues, though I just have a bladder, no tube.
Most serious daypacks have hydration compartments so as to hold a bladder of your choice.

The thing is, it's a lot cheaper to buy a complete hydration pack than to buy a daypack plus a bladder.
