recent happenings
so it's been an eventful month w/ sadies, valentines day, jazz fest, and other life crap. i filled brendan's car w/ balloons w/ notes to ask him to sadies, and we hung out w/ molly and tim which was pretty fun. molly and i made dinner here-escargot, salad, pork chops w/ apple sauce stuff, and saffron rice, then we went to the play, and came back for chocolate fondue before heading off to the dance. For vday I put together a basket w/ homemade chocolates, caramels, peppermint patties, and chocolate covered raisins/nuts/coffee beans, and also some other candies and a personalized coupon booklet. he gave me a thong, :) one of those sweet little packages thru bpa w/ a carnation and candy, and took me out to dinner at Tucci's. it was wonderful. we took thurs and fri off to go to jazz fest work shops, which were super neat. i just wish i had more time so i could see/do more of them. between a couple of them we started chatting w/ Ms. Edwards, my elementary school music teacher, and we ended up talking for a good 1 1/2 hr or so. it was awesome; she loved to hear what's been going on and what i plan to be doing, and i loved her enthusiasm and input. Brendan and I went to the concert fri night and that was pretty sweet. by then we were absolutely exhausted and pretty jazzed out. it's really cool to think that a year ago we started hanging out and really getting to know e/o. we've still got about 1 1/2 month 'til our anniversary, but it's crazy it's been that long. other life crap involves finally applying to the UI and being accepted *phewph* actually get'n a move on w/ my econ (which will hopefully be done by the end of march or so) and then the usual things like watching House, swing dancing, working, hw, etc. swing dancing has been awesome lately and i'm insanely excited to perform at Arts Fest. i'm really anxious to learn the routine and practice the hell out of it, but it's hard to make time to do so and really do it well. i was totally looking forward to seeing Memoirs of a Geisha last weekend 'cuz I finally finished the book Fri, and when I went to see it it was gone. i was so pissed at myself, and partially at the theatres. now i have to wait til it comes out on video, and i'm about the least patient person on the planet. i might even have to go rent it the second the store opens or something. i've heard it's not even that good, so i'll probly be disappointed, but i still really want to see it. now i'm reading "the lovely bones" and it's really interesting and good, but not the best goodnight book, which is too bad because I've made it a habit of reading before I fall asleep. anyways that's enough of an update for now. i'm not that exciting.
