Goodbye, summer
*sigh* I can't believe we have to go back to schell tomorrow. I know it's never really as bad as I make it out to be, but summer's really over, and that just sucks. I didn't do as much as i wanted to/should have, and so i'm like damn why did i waste so much time. at the same time, i know i'll pull my act together and get shit done during the school year, whether I want to or not.
i haven't updated in forever again. last night i read my friends pg, and i had like 40 whole entries i had not read. i'm glad i dont waste forever online any more, but it's weird staying busy w/ other things.
work's been alright, altho sun was my worst work day ever. i switched to weekends last weekend so i'd have these days off before school. i'm hoping i can get used to school mon-fri and work sat-sun. i guess i'll just value those days off way more.
i went school shopping for clothes all day in spokane fri, like i do every year. that was fun. this year i was a good shopper *cough*spent way too much money*cough* and i'm excited to wear my new stuff. sun night i dyed omni's hair darker, and it looks pretty good on her, makes her look older, and it's like holy crap she's an 8th grader.
it was really fun seeing people for a couple days, at sandra's welcoming party and at martin's going away party. 'tis a shame they had to be only a day apart. it's great to have sandra back, we had a nice chat while listening to martin and brendan's recording of their much anticipated cd.
today i went out to elk river falls w/ Brendan, and we hiked around and took pics and watched water fall down into more water. it was a nice outing.
i think i'm gonna enter pics into the fair. i've gotta make time to decide which ones i want, get them printed, mat them, etc, but i've got a couple weeks and it should be fun, if all goes well. it'd be super neat to win something, but really i just like showing ppl and being like "look, that's mine. i took that pic."
hm i dont know what else to say, but it was nice to talk about stuff besides school cuz that seems to be the topic of the majority of my discussions once it starts. ick.
