Finally, an update! I wonder if anyone actually reads these...
I graduated in July, and I'm living and working in Thomasville now with my wonderful husband of almost a year, Jerry. I work at Thomas County EMS, and I love my job! I miss school. Especially when I look at my friends' myspaces & facebooks and see pictures of all the things I'm missing out on by not being there. It's sad, but I suppose that moving on is an unavoidable part of life.
Speaking of life, I've finally decided what I want to do with mine. I'm going to start at Thomas University next semester. There are a few science classes that I'm going to need before I can apply to medical school. That's right! Charlotte is going to be a doctor! I am so excited about it, it's ridiculous! I'd been thinking about it for a little while, and after talking about it with my husband for a while, weighing out all my options, and praying about it A LOT, I feel like it's really the right thing for me to do. I'm thinking right now that I want to go into family medicine, but I saw something on Discovery Health the other day that actually made me seriously think about surgery. (Discovery Health is AWESOME, by the way.)
So what do you all think? Am I going to be a good doctor? Would you come see me?
I worry sometimes that I'm not going to be able to hack it. But I have to remember that I'm a bright girl. It's going to be hard, but nothing worthwhile comes easily. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
I look forward to being able to help people and combine my work with my passion for life and my desire to see everyone prosper. I'm very excited indeed!
My niece, Kylie, is going to turn 1 soon. It's unbelievable that it's been almost a year. I need to post some new pictures of her on here. She's SO beautiful, and literally one of the funniest kids I know. Just thinking of her smile can make a bad day brighter. I'm so in love with that little girl! I can't even imagine how it's going to be when I have my own children.
The kitties are good. They are outdoor kitties now. Jelly loves it, but Sam is a little high-maintenance and tries to run inside every opportunity he gets. They were so sweet last night! I was carving a pumpkin on the front porch, and they were so curious as to what I was up to! Jelly sat in my chair with me while I scooped the pumpkin's innards out, while Sam sat on the ground eating it as it fell. They are such sweet little babies. I love em to death!
I think that might be enough for now. I may write more later...
