After the test where they blow air in your eye, the optometrist told me my eye pressure was way above average for someone my age. To be sure, he said, we'll do some other tests. He said he would put eyedrops in my eyes to anesthetize them, then proceed to, I'm not sure, poke it with lights and then measure my cornea by poking that with a pointy thing. "You're going to feel a burning sensation," he warned me of the drops, and his choice of words really threw me off, burning sensation, to which I responded, "is this really necessary?"
In the end, turns out I just have a thick cornea, which can skew results from the pressure test.
Also, I'm getting new glasses next week.
Now I can be a real nerd.
