Our Hospital Adventure
10 hours at the hospital with a verdict of... nothing. "Go see your specialist." Cute. They did a CT scan, blood work and urinalysis-- all came back okay.
Good news is that Jordan wasn't bleeding when we went to the hospital. The bad news is he can't stand for very long without being in terrible pain. More good news-- the specialist had a cancellation and tomorrow morning Jordan is going to see said specialist. I don't know if I'll be able to take him...
There was a cold going around work and it's finally hit me full-force. I've spent the day sleeping and complaining about how my face burns and how I can't breathe through my nose while intermittently blowing my nose.
It's been "fun". We actually both spent the day in bed watching episodes of Bones, reading and dozing off... I took a 4-6 hour nap this afternoon. then we called up a couple of Jordan's friends and asked if they'd bring us dinner. Jordan's friend Chris was happy to oblige. Clearly, we're not going to make it to Phoenix this weekend for the plans we had with my family.
We're both worse for the wear... Hopefully, the worst of my cold runs its course before Monday... when I have to go to work. We found out mid-January that we weren't going to get a holiday in February. I'm pretty bummed... but oh, well. At least I still have a job. Things are supposed to pick up by the end of the year this year, but that's the same song and dance we heard last year so I'm not holding my breath. We'll see... the promise of those extra 4 hours a week, the extra PTO and the extra $400/mo I'd be earning would be delightfully awesome. Maybe we'd actually be able to pay our credit cards off all the way! *dies*
Anyway, things are okay... all things considered. I'll write updates as I have strength.
