Happy Anniversary!
Despite its sucky start, I did have a pretty good anniversary. I figured with such a sucky start, it had to get better. As luck would have it, it did.
Clovis and Nicodemus still had periodic fits throughout the day, but for the most part they behaved and didn't fight. That was a relief because I had no idea where I was going to put a third litter box! Cookie helped calm Clovis' nerves and some love and snuggle time helped put the rest of them at ease. Whew! I did have to "babysit" them most of the day. I worked on my Halloween costume for a bit-- I think I finally have a decent "pattern" for my jacket. Whew!
When Jordan got home from work, we discussed places to eat. I still had a $50 gift card to a fox restaurant from a raffle back in February that I'd wanted to use to eat out for my birthday. That never happened, and I'm kinda glad it didn't happen because we were able to use that for our anniversary dinner. Jordan and I deliberated on the location and eventually decided to eat at Wildflower. The food was delicious. We paid $10 over the gift card because we had the luxury of ordering whatever we wanted and we left a $20 tip, which I raided from my Christmas cash. (I think Christmas is going to be sparse at the rate I'm robbing my stash! Heh. I think I still have $20 in there. LOL.) Jordan had the lamb and I had the grilled flank state. Yum. It was delicious. I was amused by the fact that we "dressed up" for going out to dinner by putting on button-down shirts. Haha.
By that time, it was later in the evening. We ended up renting three movies at RedBox-- Easy A, The Rite and Gnomeo and Juliet-- and watched the first two, respectively, before going to bed. I worked on my costume. Granted, it wasn't the most romantic anniversary ever... but it was a nice, relaxing evening.
