I know I shouldn't laugh at someone else's misery, but this was just too funny. It was so "amazing" that I had to laugh.
On Monday, Jordan picked me up and we drove to Taco Bell for lunch. As we turned into the parking lot, we drove by the most amazing sight. A woman had driven her green sedan over a pedestrian ramp and beached it atop the back-of-curb header. Both sets of tires were a good 6" above the ramp and also over the small drainage swale behind the header.
Jordan and I did a double-take-- she did what?! No way!!
The woman, who didn't look upset, was standing beside her car talking with a cop. She didn't seem flustered or embarrassed in any way. It was too funny.
I can't believe she did that! How in the world would you get up that ramp and avoid the pedestrian appurtenances/Utility Pole? It was a pretty amazing feat. I'd consider giving her an "awesome" award... except for the "how did she get up there?" and "What was she doing?" questions, which make it impossible to award such behaviour with "awesome". Still, that made my morning!
