This evening, Jordan and I went to see 10,000 B.C. in theaters. I have to say it was pretty good-- it wasn't the greatest movie ever, but I felt we got our money's worth. The plot was good and unique. The story kept moving. There weren't any overly sexual scenes (surprising in Hollywood these days)... though there was a lot of violence and fighting.
... but, most importantly, there was one particular scene at the end of the movie that made me bust up laughing because I'd been studying block-on-incline problems for the FE exam this weekend. The problems read something like this... "Find the minimum force needed to be applied to a 100kg block laying on a 30-degree incline for movement to occur. The coefficient of friction is 0.3."
So as this particular scene in the movie played out, I was visualizing physics problems... though, it was even more amusing when I told Jordan and he reminded me of this funny math answer:
Truly... there was an elephant in the way. =D
