I don't classify dreams as "nightmares" very often, but this one fits the bill... it had my heart racing to the point I woke up and it took me a few moments to settle down.
The nightmare was short. In the nightmare, a telemarketer called us and asked for the social security number of the "account holder". Jordan handed me the phone and I rattled it off only to be hung up on moments later. Yes, I'm silly because I had a dream about identity theft... not only that, but I classified it as a nightmare because I woke up with that feeling of "impending doom" as I tried to scramble to correct the error. I don't think I'd have been able to go back to sleep if I didn't know it was a dream. Why can't I dream about monsters like everyone else does? Why do I have to dream about real life situations? *sigh* =(
The dreams were much less interesting and were sorta melded together.
I first dreamt that I was back in college. Someone had moved a large trash bin (like those at an apartment complex) in front of some stairs and people kept roller blading and walking into it and damaging themselves. One roller blading boy skated right into it. When he got out, he had a bump on his head similar in height to those in cartoons-- it was like a small mountain on his head. I kept telling him to go to the nurse. I was about to move the bin when someone else did... There's more to this dream, but that's all I can recall at the moment.
It transitioned to the second dream, which was by far my favorite of the evening. I dreamt I was a girl disguised as a guy on a pirate ship. I can't remember what I was doing there... but I do remember going up to the captain and first mate's table, looking the captain (who had hair like Jack Sparrow, but looked like Barbossa from the Disney Pirates movies) in the eyes and trying to ask him if he had to go to school to learn to talk like a pirate. Of course, the statement never escaped my lips for every time I tried to ask, he'd interrupt with a story to his first mate while giving me an impetulant look. Shortly thereafter I gave up and resigned myself to a drink or two and passed out (no, I don't drink IRL, which is why I found this part strange).... stranger still, (from an outside POV now) a finely dressed girl pulled me to a mattress and lay me down upon it. Before I woke up, there was talk about me not being a man... but I can't remember much of that banter. My alarm clock had already rung and jostled me out of my fun.
I should have more journal entries today. My Brother In-Law-In-Law's birthday party was last night and I need to jot a bit down about that.
