Personal First: Snow Crab

Mar 21, 2007 16:51

Last night, on a whim, I decided Jordan and I should go out to dinner at Red Lobster. Not only is this very uncharacteristic (I don't like nearly all seafood)... but I also decided to be bold and try real crab for the first time ever. Truth be told, I liked eating pig ear and chicken feet better than eating crab. (Yes, I've eaten both before.)

The crab tasted a lot like scrambled eggs to me. While I like scrambled eggs, I genearlly like other things with my eggs. So I think it's safe to say had they served me crab with syrup instead of butter, I may have enjoyed it a lot better. I know, I know... gross, right? But have YOU tried it that way? Don't knock it 'till you try it!

I did order a backup dinner (steak)... so I had something else to eat after I devoured 3 crab legs sans shell.

It was a lot of fun cracking open the crab legs. Jordan had to teach me how it was done because I'd never had crab before. That was entertaining... and yes, I was immature and took a moment to play with my food. I couldn't help it... it was there. It was late and there weren't many people around so why not? After I finished eating, I helped Jordan crack his pile of crab legs. We both left satiated.
