*is really freakin' happy*
So today she went to apply at Starbucks after being told that TWO positions were open. *hooray*
With Granma. *boo hiss*
But it wasn't too bad.
When she asked for an application, the guy told her they were out and to apply online. So then all the baristas came over and started asking her questions like where she was from and stuff. (And she must note here that 2/3 of them seemed gay * or at least very fey , and there was only one girl whom she didn't get to speak to.)
Anyway, after she told them, one said "Oh, she's cute and she can bring us chicken fried steaks!"(She lives close to a locally famous restaraunt.) and the other said "She likes The Doors and knows her coffee, hire her!"
She was thrilled, to say the least. Then someone else walked out of the kitchen and was chatting with an employee who said "She's already the new girl."
So they told her to come back tomorrow, when the manager would be there and she might be able to score an interview! Whoo!
So they sit down and sip their drinks. She had a cream Jones Soda with a forest photo and a blonde toffee brownie. Aaand Granma goes-
"Where did Starbucks start?"
"Ooh, I knew this...uh..."
"I think it was San Francisco. By homosexuals. I refuse to call them gay. Because there not, they are sad and miserable and mislead."
"..."
*Stifling a giggle behind her napkin*
Oh God. I was about to piss myself.
She's surprised she still let her go through with it, as there's a distinct chance she'll catch The Gay.
If she gets this job, her day will be cut in half, as she can leave school at 12!
Yip!
*She is well aware that not all gay people behave the same. She is not trying to promote a stereotype. Just an observation.
