The Irwin Family

It has been a while since I have updated this page so I thought I would.
On Sunday Jan. 14th I took Hana-chan and my Mom to see Terri and Bindi Irwin at the Ahmansan (sp?) Theater. They were here for Aussie Week as well as to talk about their favorite subject, animals. Bindi performed songs about animals that all the kids in the audience seemed to enjoy. Terri and Wes brought out the animals to show to everyone. The two made their grand entrance atop camels. They later brought out some snakes. Wes had an albino Bermese Python draped across his shoulders, and she kept squeezing his neck just a little to much. Bindi also appeared for this one holding a little snake in her hands as well. They asked if anyone in the front rows would like to get over their fear of snakes. An adult male went up to the stage and Bindi turned her snake around so the back end was facing the guy and he tentatively reached out his hand to pet it, while a little girl, who looked to be about 4 went over to Wes to touch the Python. I thought this was funny, seeing the little girl so obviously unafraid while the guy was a little nervous. Then Terri told Bindi to hurry up and sing a song about snakes, cause by that time poor Wes was starting to turn red. :) Later they brought out a Bengal Tiger cub and a 2 year old Orangutan, both very cute.
That was a fun day. There is more to it, but right now I feel terrible and want sleep. Maybe I will add more later. Jyaa ne!!
