On the downward trend...

Luc and I bought an elliptical machine back in January and have been using it faithfully since then. I am now back down to the weight I was when I finished my freshmen year. I am perfectly willing to state that I am now sitting just under 250 lbs. I've lost just over 15 lbs since the first time I saw Dr Dent in December. Fifteen pounds and one clothing size.

You'd think that dumping 2 garbage bags of cloths would make a dent in my closet. They haven't. Which scares me, both in the "I really have that many cloths" sense and in the "oh shit I'm going to have to replace all this stuff" sense. I'm going to have to make another stab at it this weekend and get rid of more stuff. Let's see if 3 bags make a dent.

I officially fit into undies from La Senza. Huzza for cheep panties! (yes I do consider those cheep). I'm also now a size 18 both top and bottom.

When you start to loose weight you look at your closet and think of all the cloths that you've got to change. You start adding up the cost in your head, but you miss stuff, like going down more then one or two sizes and you'll have to replace things more then once. Bra's aren't cheep. Then there are the things that you don't think of until they start to fall off. You don't think of things like your watch. Rings might be on the list, bracelets aren't. Hell, I've dropped a bloody shoe size!

I can now touch my fingers around my wrist, it's not loose, but I can do it. This also means that I can now almost take my watch off over my hand. This is going to be a problem, guess I'm getting a new battery for my sports watch for the summer.

I'm just very glad that most of my summer stuff was too small last year, so it's only a little large or fits perfectly right now.

Luc and I have started to go to a personal trainer to keep us going. We found a private gym that will take the two of us together. So far we've gone by for the consults and whatnot's so we know what to expect and where we stand right now. He's saying that I could be 200lbs in 4-6 months. Fifty pounds in 6 months, 8.33 lbs a month, not completely unobtainable. But I'm not going to get my hopes up. I'm aiming for 199 lbs eventually, this time next year if possible, but I'd be happy with anything under 230 lbs. Right now all I want to see is a size 16.

We'll see how this goes, he's the professional and has been doing this for a while, so I'm going to assume that he knows what he's talking about, so I'll reserve judgment until fall and we'll see how far I'm getting.

So this is me right now: size 18, 250lbs. You all have my permission to kick my butt if I don't keep going and if I don't keep this off.
