Wee hee!
A couple of weeks ago (three actually) Luc and I decided to go out and look at elliptical machines. The following Monday we had one delivered. Best thing in the world. Low impact, no thought process involved. I'm loving the thing.
Couldn't find a pair of clean pants that looked good with the shirt I wanted to wear so I figured I'd squeez my buns into something that I haven't warn in a while. These pants didn't fit right when I bought them, they've always been a little tight. They're not anymore. They actually hang correctly and fit right when I sit down.
I'm still in a 20, but the normal ones are loose and the ones from Old Navy fit right. That's in a month, most of a size in three weeks. Not a bad thing. I'm aiming for 50 lbs which will bring me down to a 16 or there abouts. Another 10 after that will take it down to a 14/15 if everything under the flub is still in the same positions that it was.
I'm aware that I may not lose another pound, I'm aware that a lot can happen and I should aim for low goals. But I might as well shoot for the moon while I'm feeling good. Hope for the best, plan for the worst. Worst case is going to be a size 18/20, which isn't bad, fairly easy to find, and generally what I've been wearing for over a decade now. Which means that I don't have to build a new wardrobe. Also something that I know how to look good in.
I'm aiming, ultimately for a grand total loss of 70-80 lbs, which would bring me down to 180 or 190, that was me at my thinnest 12 years ago. Don't know if I'll ever make that, and if I don't whatever, I just want to be down that first 50. Everyone I've talked to said that the first six weeks are inches or nothing at all and then you drop after that, so here's hoping it works that way.
Cutting sugar out of my diet helps with that. Who knew that diabetes could be good for something. Means that I can't get a doughnut with my coffee, I can't pick up that candy bar at Walmart, and grabbing a bag of oreos with the grocery order or a trio of cream eggs means a whole lot more effort and going to one or two stores that I'm almost never in because they are a pain to get to. It also means that I've got to pay 3.50 for a chocolate bar that I used to get 2 for 1.25. That tends to make one cut back on things as well.
Either way, so far so good. And seeing as this is the first time that I've really started to see real results from any kind of weight loss program, I'm happy.
