I desperately need to learn to not trust or rely on anyone. I would never be disappointed and, on rare occasions, be pleasantly surprised when someone actually does something they say they're going to do.
Shoulda figured it out after my disastrous and miserable trip to LA. Nope. I just have this ongoing faith that when people promise things they'll follow through on them, even when I learn time and time again that it's not true at all. Boy am I stupid.
