Job Hunt...

That place was a black hole that sucked away all my energy, creativity, social life, and nearly got my sanity to boot. I'm glad to be rid of it. But I'm also worried. The road ( Read more... )

Hi. New here but came across your post on job hunting. Hope things are going well for you. I recently had to job hunt myself, but landed a great one so I'm hoping you have the same kind of luck. Wishing you all the best.

Welcome. Thanks for the well wishes. So far things have been turning up rather bleak, as it were. Not much for an individual like me on the job market out here, But I'm certain something will surface soon. Thanks again.

Fair winds!

Where you from? I travel a lot...I have connections...not really but just curious. You seem interesting.

Well, simply put I went through school up to my junior year in high school With Attention Deficit Disorder and accute shyness. The school system where I was didn't bother to provide any extra attention to people like me (against state law) and seeing I would never get the chance to graduate, I decided that was enough of that shit. School was by far the worst years of my life. Anywho, not having a diploma makes it hard to come across a job that will pay me a wage I can live on. As far as ideal job, I don't have one in particular in mind, I just want to be active. I've had enough of the cubicle life. My preference would be in law enforcement or armed security as it would just be a continuation of my regular lifestyle. I carry a firearm, I'm not affraid to say, as a defense for my friends, family, loved ones and myself. A lot of people may not agree with my decission to do so, but I know that the dangers of modern society are unpredictable and I never want to be caught in a situation where I could save lives but lack the means to do so. Awe yes...the system lol. I am familiar with that because of my brother. High school, the place where peer pressure and butt kicking are considered the norm, but all is well in the eyes of administration. Drive out the problem makers which leads to improved test scores, higer school ratings, and wah-la you have the perfect stepford society. Ok so that was my rant for the day.
Who can live on any wage these day, but yeah I do understand.
As far as the job goes I think law enforcement is an excellent choice. I support the right to bear arms. It's not the ones who are well trained and have permits that seem to be the problem these days. DUH HUH...Everyone should have the right to protect their families and love ones without fear of being wrestled down to the ground as the mere sight of it. As for the weird part, if your weird....normal is soooooo out. Weird or interesting, it's great chattin with ya.
