School Stuff
Recently, as in last week, we found out that our current principal and vice-principal are not coming back next year. They have each taken new jobs elsewhere. It was a little happy (for them) and a little sad (for us). Today we found out who our new principal will be. We'll get to meet him next Monday and have a chance to ask all the questions we want. I'll be interesting. I've only been at this school for one year and I was just getting used to the situation. Now I'll have to do it all over again. I just hope he's not one of those principals who like to micro-manage everything and expect us to turn in detailed lesson plans 2 weeks in advance. That would kill me considering that currently I'm only 1 day ahead, 2 days if I'm extremely lucky!
Other than that, school is going well. My new Instructional Assistant is working out well. I love her already! She's really amazing and I know next year we're going to have a blast! I'm still getting readjusted to having an aide again. I can accomplish so much more in the day now.
Today we had the zoo come in and give a presentation on a few different animals. They brought a chameleon, gecko, chinchilla, some sort of hairless rat (creepy as hell), a bearded dragon, and a python. On a side note: The python's name was Monty. Silly me had a blond moment and didn't make the connection for a good 10-15 minutes!
