I think our new plants--most of which are xeric--will be well-established now and do just fine with the normal amount of watering. Sweety says most of the excess was actually going to the lawn, anyway.

That was a new word for me. It even stumped crabbydragon, who knows a lot more words than I do, and uses them in his speaking vocabulary. We have not lived in dry climates, for the most part, and are not terribly green thumbs.

Sorry. Didn't mean to be obtuse. It's a word we run across a lot here, and I think "water-wise" sounds a bit precious. Plus, it's so much fun to say!

You want weird words? We watched the spelling bee last week. Sweety was almost angry at how obscure some of those words were.
