All I've done this weekend is eat, even in my dreams. Friday evening was a throwback to the days of my youth when all I craved were tiny little pizza bites that cooked up easily. The biggest dilemma I faced was weighing the option of cooking it in the toaster oven which would ensure a delicious little crunch to the edges, or nuking them in the microwave, which was infinitely more convenient. Instant gratification won and two minutes later, I had a dinner right out of my childhood. Good food for cold, rainy nights.

That night, I had a dream about visiting a bakery and picking off pieces from a lovely loaf of bread, though in my dreams I called it a croissant. I had five pieces and I remember going back to the shelf above the pantry to break off pieces. The only other thing I could remember was peering into an oven while a quiche cooked, and bundles of herbs were dried over the hearth.

Saturday was spent eating dim sum, then eating a piece of cake from Sage - caramel mousse with a hint of coffee and creme brulee. Peppermint tea. Sweet butter popcorn from the mall. Cheese-on-a-stick. I thought about a salted pretzel but decided against it in favor of leaving room for dinner. Half a burger that had sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, roaster garlic, and mozzarella mixed in.

Today I ate a bag of potato chips for breakfast - gyoza flavored. Interesting, satisfying, and loaded with salt. The boys ordered a pizza, so I ate a slice. I made spam musubi and ate two pieces. There was an apple in there somewhere as well and now that it is evening and I am thinking it should be time for dinner, except I'm not hungry for anything. It's cold and my fingers are slowly freezing over.
